hi, my bike's been rusting on the frame and exhaust can. im not sure what the frame is made of (steel? aluminium?); thinking of just getting rid of the rust spot and repainting those spots. Anyone who's tried it before or has tips, shoot away!

Same goes for the exhaust can, its chromed and has a little bit of rust on it. Just got a chrome aluminium spray enamel, anyone tried it before?

Thanks

wad bike are u riding?

its steel thats why it will rust. buy a rough and fine sand paper/abrasive cloth, wrap on a block or if u have rambo hands. sand down the rust with the rough one than finer one , clean it up ( water wipe dry , alcohol swipes(might be a choice)) make sure u dry it. than spray on the frame colour as usual.

for the exhuast. same thing except i don know how u going to chrome it ( assuming ur bike have chromed exhuast ) or use high temp paint to paint it.. might want to add high temp primer for stronger paint.

ps , i doubt aluminum rust. it corrodes, but doesnt rust.
