Any other bike insurance besides NTUC?

Hi,

 

NTUC was very nice to inform me, my insurance is coming to an end.

But I looked at the insurance amount and noticed that it is higher than the year before,and the premium is also higher that the yr before that. it keeps increasing despite my NCD going higher....*blur*

 

So I am hoping any kind souls out there knows of other insurance companies that provides bike insurance, so we know we are getting the best deal...

ok i tried to find bout bike insurance here and found this thread. i recently got my license and i need help on the steps to buy a bike from a stranger.. what are the things i need to do? male age 20 buying 1984 rxk.. need help here.. thanks. shud i buy the bike and change name first or shud i buy insurance first? im confused..

In order to do a transfer of name at LTA, u will need buy the insurance for the bike 1st. Bring it down to LTA with the owner and fill up the transfer form. the insurance paper must be shown as proof that u have enough insurance coverage for the bike before LTA allow u to transfer the name.

Looks like what my friend experienced with his renewal with NTUC is not an one-off. His renewal premium is also very expensive ($400+), and almost the same as his first premium after getting 2b.

 

I recommended he call other insurers to get quote, eg Commercial Agency (above Ah Boy shop) who does both NTUC and MSIG. MSIG premium for same coverage (TPFT) is only ~$240.
