[CDC] Class 2B (2011)

Hi guys! I just enrolled for a class 2B license a couple of days ago. Very very new here. I'm wondering about a couple of things.

 

First, do I have to attend the 4 basic theory lessons before I can book for the IE or is there some way for me to book the IE early as well. I've booked the 4 basic theory lessons already and I would like to book everything as early as possible because who doesn't want to complete this part fast right?

 

Second, should I start my practical lessons simultaneously with my Riding Theory lessons, right after I've applied for my PDL when I pass my BTT? Or is it advisable to complete all theory first before I start any practical lessons?

 

Any more tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm only starting my journey here.

1) You have to complete your basic theory lessons first before you can book for your IE. Same goes for your BTT and RTT.

 

2) I suggest you wait awhile before starting for your practical lessons. I last checked the RTT falls on 30th June and that is a very very very long time. You should probably start your practical about 1 month before your RTT.

 

 

Anyway, now the system is really screwed with TP introducing all kinds of weird stuff to slow the Class 2B learners down. Just make sure you pass all your theory tests on the first try as you wouldn't want to wait 2 months for your theory test. It's painful to wait for practical test but waiting for theory test is even worse.

Actually now worst...they can take Pract 1 - Pract 5 then they have to complete their RTT before going Pract 6. So effectively, they need to wait like 5 months or so before they can continue to Pract 6 and another 2 1/2 months for TP...

where got worst? can take Theory and Practical at same time mah, plus rtt where got 5 months, every next month have. I enrolled mid July till now waiting TP. Say 2 Months plus for me to clear theory before i start Pract 1. People now haven start pract 1 already go for DRT. dots..

Your wrong bro...check this link http://www.cdc.com.sg/test_date.htm. Next RTT date is 30th June. BTT is 2nd July. And they have to complete their BTT first before they can go for RTT lessons and after their internal evaluation then they can book their RTT. You wouldn't need 2 months to complete 5 lessons...I completed all 8 practical lessons within a month.

Darkness and yavi, is it compulsory to go the Expressway Familiarisation Course thing, after you pass TP?

Oh Yavi went. for me... when it my turn to book... they tell me no slot. because i was the last few (youngest) guy. But anyway i already start riding expressway myself. so... yah. but its good to go. Instructor told me when next time take class 2a. you get earlier TP date.!

Hahahaha. I won't take 2a lah! Not interested in bigger bikes...since I won't get a bike I cannot pick up...haha. But I think I'll still go for the expressway course. How's it like riding outside so far? I think I will nervous after I pass!

Eh...some people are just slower learners...like me. I took prac 1 5 friggin times! I think 2 months to complete 5 lessons is kinda just nice, especially for those busy and cannot chiong like 2-3 lessons a week. Plus must take into consideration when booking practical lessons, sometimes can more than 1 week fully booked and no slot, so 1 week wasted!

Boon , Chill k ? dun whack like that before u do a full overhaul of the bike , u dont know when the engine or some random part is gonna go , we need to live to enjoy more bikes , dun make the SP ur first and your last bike.

Yeah man...but lucky it wont make a difference for me as I already have a Class 3 . But I pity those who will fail their TP and end up their RTT expire and need to retake both BTT and RTT which will be damn horrible.

It was super demoralising when I hear people pass like multiple lessons on first try. But finally, when I reached prac 8...I passed prac 8 on first try. Whew.

 

Now for us is TP must pass on first try!!!!!!! HAHAHA.

 

I took a 3 months break somewhere (cause busy) so my RTT is probably earlier than you guys here...it's expiring in october. Sibei scary. If my RTT expire and I haven't get license yet hor, I can go hara kiri already.

Just retake your RTT again. Thats what I had to do before I could book for my TP test. Thankfully I am one of those with lots of patience. Its not difficult to pass if you know the road rules.

Just retake your RTT again. Thats what I had to do before I could book for my TP test. Thankfully I am one of those with lots of patience. Its not difficult to pass if you know the road rules.

Yes!!!! Pass first try then we can start riding soon Hope I am able to ride my bike for about 1 year before I enter NS.
