Hi People!!! Newbie here!

Enrolled last month, completed my Prac 1 last week and waiting for prac 2.

I am curious with the teaching system in CDC. My first time for Prac 1, the instructors did not teach us Speeding and Cornering, so all of us did not manage to complete Prac 1. As for my 2nd attempt, I managed to get 1 chop for Moving and the instructor only left with 5mins to teach us cornering, like that none of the newbie can complete the whole Prac right?! Is this normal?

I realised that the instructors teaches us to throttle first then slowly release clutch. I thought learners have to learn to feel the biting point (means release clutch) first before we throttle?

haha it's like that...sometimes they purposely don't intend to pass everyone, could be cause raining or the class just not ready enough, so instructor focus on the first few parts of the lesson instead. it's like what duo said, really see ur class good or bad. to make u feel better, i took 5 tries to pass my first prac! HAHA.

learn bike fun hor :D

I always do it. i've never passed my lessons in 1 try, until i reached prac8, where i passed on first try. i've also booked 3 slots at 1 go before too. cause some lessons really, if u wait till u fail the lesson then book, it's like 1 week away. i was mad chionging lessons cause my RTT expiring in october this year :'(

7 months ago i was just like you! but let me tell you which prac you should book 2 session. Prac 3. Figure of 8 and slope. I can confirm you 100% they will fail you. unless you revoked before.. but dont nervous. thats the main thing, you must always feel relax, dont be stiff! just follow instruction! dont get distracted.. it happened to me before... just focus! all the best!

I don't need to show my bike here 'cus I don't have one.

eh dont listen to darknessfear hahah....I passed Pract 3 on first try. In fact as long as you meet the criteria for passing the instructor won't fail you one regardless of whether you got license or no license before..Just book 1 lesson at a time. Even if you chiong fast you still gotta wait 2months++ for TP..

walao hellamatrix2, not everyone pro like u leh :( i am 1 of those noob riders. HAHA. and as for passing lessons, i can say it really also depends on instructor...if u get a nice and helpful one then swee, he may pass u. get the grumpy one + ur class big + ur class noob then really sian liao.

i think it doesn't hurt 2 book 2 lessons...i used to book like mon and wed, so if mon pass, then cancel the wed lesson :) then if fail...don't need wait long long for next lesson.

some more got 18 cancellation counts ah! swee. HAHA. especially useful for someone like me who just dun pass lessons on first try...

For Circuit, you just have to watch more videos on youtube, search "ride a motorcycle first time m13" these videos are better than the instructors, cause they are free, repeat as many times as you want.

A way to learn is to know at what RPM, clutch in, keep open throttle to 3k RPM and so you remember your wrist movement. Now,

1) half clutch and open throttle at the same time

2) clutch in and close throttle at the same time

3) kick ur gear.

4) slowly release clutch and open throttle at the same time.

this is the 4 simple steps i keep reminding myself and i pass lesson 1 and 2 very fast.

Yesterday, i was tired after work and journey back home was safe but sadly when i reached my carpark i had a stationary fall. ZZZZZ! Third day on motorcycle. Wanted to park backside in so make a right turn and.... lucky i hold it well enough just to have minor scratch on my signal light and exhaust protector, nothing on the fairing. phew. Shag after that.

Got technique. Dunno y they only teach in cls 2 when 2a bikes also heavy and hard to lift without e technique.

I am right handed so right side is my master side. If u left master just switch accordingly.

Basically u put ur right side knee/thigh below e area f ur fuel tank left side. Left hand some where comfy. Right side on handlebar right side. Be ready to hold e bike straight else will fall onto e other side. ._.

use e strength in ur legs to lift e bike off e ground. Not ur arms. Once ur bike is off e ground just continue e motion and bike will come up. Then just need to control ur strength and dun let it fall onto e other side.

If got chance when go lesson. Look at how e cls2 lesson do it.

Its in the hips if using the Class2 method. Helped a learner rider once when he dropped the XJR. Went over to help as I had parked mine. Did it as I would with a bicycle. In the end parked the bike for him also.

Yap, i used that technique, plus the moment it is falling i put my left thigh at the tank already or not right fairing all cui. Heart will break if fall hard only like third day. If CDC bike, i will just let go~~~

Back from pract 2, 1st time and failed. :(

Very cui... Cannot managed to digest and apply immediately what the instructor said.

Can't get the biting point smoothly, engine stall, jammed up the circuit, and start to wobble when move off.

Sad~~~~~~~~~~~

To make the matter worst, I did not turn to the correct turn as per the instructions, and ride all the way up, 1 big round, 2x somemore!!!

Instructors didnt know I gone 'missing' the last round, I only realised when I see no green tag learner already... lol..

Can't recognise the circuit when riding night...
