Hi guys, goona enroll for my 2b but idk which school to go. No offense, i heard many bad stories of cdc instructors not being helpful and are bias. I dont mean to insult any of you here by saying that cdc is not a good school but i just want the best out of learning how to handle a bike properly and all the safety aspect

of it so i am wondering is it that bad to learn in cdc as i have a number of friends that gave up learning half way and i dont want to make their mistake. Sorry if i offended anyone here. Just trying to be careful as hard earn money is at stake as i am a student working part time.

Since you ask, i think CDC the best but cause more money. CDC may be small in size and packed with lots of learners but it is a good thing cause outside road also heavy traffic. CDC road lesson also difficut cause ubi busy road and yes more failure at CDC. Outcome = You become more of safety confidence rider if you pass from CDC.

SSDC, big and had many levels for trainning, heard when rain can do indoors also. Lots of space and motorcycle are newer cause they RICH. Road lesson less vehicle but most heavy vehicles, rather more passes there. Outcome = You are afraid of filterring on road and reckless. Likely to involve accident.

BBDC, old and small school abit like CDC but lesser people there. quite okay but it is not in the east so i not so sure of it.

I know BBDC instructors pass their students quite easily for lessons...easier than CDC. It's usually cheaper to learn at BBDC.
Its mainly because at BBDC there are more practical slots in one day to the point you can cut down waiting time hence faster.

Haha but I heard passing rate (for lessons that is) is quite high too!

Anyway, CDC now got new rule, from 1st July onwards all learners must wear elbow and knee guards for prac lessons. Wahhhh.

The difference is that now, learners must have personal helmet, elbow & knee guards and gloves for all practical lessons from 1 July 2012. There's an A4 size notice stuck to the instructor counter.

Anyone got 2nd hand knee and elbow guards to sell?

Sian... just came back from prac 8.

46 points. Must be some sort of record.

Never let someone else's irrational fears hold you back.

xevioso, jia you for your next TP! ;)

By the way, i need advices for prac 3, fig8 and crank.

I have problem kicking from gear 1 to gear 2.

Eye position and leaning are okay, but changing gears jialat..

Understand the speed is not fast enough for me to change to higher gear but how can I make the speed goes fast when the bike just move into the course then got to change gear already?

IIRC,

its like making a big fig of 8 in the circuit.

1: First T junction, turn left.

After zebra crossing turn left.

Traffic light, turn left.

After traffic light, change to 1st lane.

T junction, turn right.

After first arrow marking, change to 2nd lane.

After bend, change to 1st lane then turn right.

Traffic light turn right and change to 2nd lane.

Repeat 1.

Thanks dude! Managed to clear prac 2 in 2nd attempt. I have to 'practice' by demo-ing the steps repeatedly.

Yeah speed not enough. Sometimes, sadly, it is the bike also. If it's not the bike, I think it is cause you haven't found the right mix of throttle/clutch yet. Probably your clutch need to release a bit more. This 1, you can only figure out once you get on the bike. Haha.
