Really new PSB sticker? Don't know now but months back i went all lesson why SPY helmet, i believe no sticker at all.
Guess its not very strict anymore. Years back the instructor will check to make sure everyone's helmet got the PSB sticker.

Can use without sticker...but if TP kena caught by tester that time immediate failure
Better safe than sorry.

Hi,

Complete noob here, planning to take my 2b and hope in 3years time can buy a hd and complete my dream.

Anyways I am thinking of going to comfort at ubi to learn as its nearest to my place, and I went through their website and I can't understand the flow chart of the learning progress.

Would appreciate greatly if anybody can explain to me how is the whole course like leading up to the tp test,as I know last time can go for practical 1-4 without taking the rtt first.

Now?

Also what do I need to prepare on my own for the whole course?

Helmets?

Gloves?

Riding boots?

Guards?

Sorry if my questions sound silly, but all answers are greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hello there i havent pass but taking pract 2.

First you must take btt. If got other license like class 3 can bypass.

Then can apply PDL and start your practs.

Youre right, now no need to pass rtt to do pract 1-4. But it is not only 1-4 but the WHOLE 1-8. This is with effect from february 2012.

You only need to pass rtt only before you want to book tp test.

The only thing stopping you from going to pract 4 to 5 (or 5 to 6 cant remember) is defensive riding theory. Must complete all 3 lessons.

Regarding what to prepare, you need

1) helmet

2) knee and elbow guards

3) gloves

No riding boots required.

The above 3 items can buy from cdc. Total price should be about

Get your helmet and gloves a from a bike shop....

For elbow and knee guards, just go NTUC and get those rollerblade kinds, they are good enough.

Hey guys. I'm now taking prac 2. Failed the first time. Instructor said I should work on my checking and positioning. I'm not sure what he means by this. Anybody kind enough to explain to me?

Think what the instructor meant is your safety checks and forming up.

For safety checks, you need to check right back each time you are moving off from stationary.

For example, if you are moving to fill the gap (between the vehicle in front of you and you), only check right back and move up. If you are moving off to turn right, check right back before you turn. If you are moving to turn left, check right back then check left for blind spot before you turn.

If you are approaching a bend, you need to check your blind spot as well. There are few bend within the circuit, so make sure you check your blind spots.

As for positioning, you have to form up according to the directional arrow(s).

If you are going straight, regardless how many with multi arrows (straight with left or straight with right or straight with left and right) your lane is showing, form 2 rows with the rest of the bikes, starting with 1st bike on the left, 2nd bike on the right, 3rd bike on the left (behind the 1st bike) and 4th bike on the right (behind the 2nd bike).

If you are going to turn left with only a LEFT arrow, form up 2 rows, starting with 1st bike on the left, 2nd bike on the right, 3rd bike on the left (behind the 1st bike) and 4th bike on the right (behind the 2nd bike).

If you are going to turn right with only a RIGHT arrow, form up 2 rows, starting with 1st bike on the right, 2nd bike on the left, 3rd bike on the right (behind the 1st bike) and 4th bike on the left (behind the 2nd bike).

If you are going to turn right with STRAIGHT and RIGHT arrow, form up only 1 row more to the right side of the lane.

If you are going to turn left with STRAIGHT and LEFT arrow, form up only 1 row more to the left side of the lane.

Hopes this info helps you with your lesson 2. Of course you can always check with your instructors if you have further doubts. It is better to ask them on the spot. They will also advise you on the spot if you are doing wrongly. :D

Thanks for the detailed advice! Really appreciate it. My instructor was not one of the more helpful ones I must say. Currently waiting for my Riding Theory lesson 4 to start. Haha.

Someone fell during a riding prac. Ambulance came down and everything. So happening.

I have one more query. When I'm making a right turn, I need to change to the left lane right. The traffic was pretty bad for that day and I could not change lanes on the go. I don't quite know how to handle such a situation. I'd like to know what's the proper procedure for changing lanes please...

Hmmm.. So far I have not met any pretty bad traffic on the left lane. But for such situation, you can slow down, signal and see any vehicle give way to you. Worst scenario, die die cannot go in, then just stick to your lane and get ready to turn right. We have to react fast base on situation..

Bo bian also cannot die die must follow rules.. My 2 cents worth..

Not too sure. I was just sitting having a break from my riding theory class when an ambulance arrived. Being the Singaporean that I am, I went to kaypoh a bit. I believe it's from the 6:50pm-8:20pm session. Not too sure what exactly happened but it should be he fell and injured his left ankle badly. His leg was bleeding a bit. He was still conscious and looked uncomfortable. That was all.

Just a general question, is it advisable able to book 2 lessons? From what i experience so far, normally 1 lesson not enough time to cover. Will the instructor be angry if they found out you book 2 lessons?
