Question on signal light for motorcycle sidecar.

Hi guys, I have some questions regarding signal lights for sidecars.

 

 

The metal ones I've seen all have signal lights on the sidecar itself.

 

 

Is that a legal requirement?

 

 

I'm in the process of confirming a purchase but the sidecar does not have any signal indicators on it.

 

 

Would this be ok? or would it be deemed unroadworthy.
