Just wondering if anyone can share as how to change the o-rings for the brake calipers for super 4..? And how or what to do to the brake pistons so that it works better..

2008-Current : Kawasaki Kr150 (Share with my brother) SCRAPPED

2010-2011 : Yamaha Spark T135 (Taken over by my neighbour)

2011-Current : Honda Super4 Spec1 (My project bike)

Surprisingly, all these bikes still have my name in the insurance. No money to upgrade anymore.

Why go to workshop when DIY is easy..?

Just wondering if anyone can share as how to change the o-rings for the brake calipers for super 4..? And how or what to do to the brake pistons so that it works better..

Procedure to change the o-ring for your brake caliper as follow if you have compress air

1. Disconnect the banjo nuts at the end of the brake line at the brake caliper, use a empty container to catch the brake fluid

2. Remove the bolts holding the brake caliper and slide the caliper out from the brake disc

3. Remove the brake pads and disassemble the brake caliper by taking all other parts and removing all the screws

4. Split the caliper into halves and you will see a hole on each half of the caliper

5. Use some rags to cover over the brake pistons

6. Put a air gun to the hole and prepare for the piston to pop out

7. After the pistons are out you can remove the old dust cover and seal.

8. Replace with new piston, seal and dust cover. lubricate the seal and dust cover with brake fluid before assembly.

9. Reassemble back everything and bleed the brakes with fresh brake fluid.

If you do not have compress air, method as follow

1. Remove the brake caliper bolt and slide out the caliper from the brake disc (work on 1 caliper first, the other remained mounted on the bike)

2. Remove brake pads and compress the brake lever slowly till all the pistons are out (make sure all come out evenly so that all pistons can pop out at the same time )

3. Once the pistons are out, proceed to replace with new pistons, seal and dust covers.

4. Reassemble everything and installed the caliper back to the bike

5. Bleed the brakes

6. Repeat step 1 to 5 again for the other caliper.
