Hi

My bike is not under any hire purchase. I paid full cash for it. So i have the log card. How do i sell my bike if i want to sell it to somebody from for example the forum? There is no need for transfer fee rite? So if the guy pays me cash of $3000. Then what next?

I have referred to this thread from garage sales

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....showtopic=13560

However it only stated for hire purchase or rehire.

Pardon me if my information is not correct but I am gonna give it a go.

Your bike is fully paid for and you want to sell it rite? Normally, the buyer will have to pay for the transfer fees and get his own insurance. Because unless you transfer the bike, it will remain in your name.

And if your bike's road tax and/or COE expiring, the buyer will pay. However this is negotiable as some buyer will offer to pay for the Road Tax and/or transfer fees as a "deal sweetener."

Hope this little info helps.

hi evil_educator,

the normal procedure for bike transfer is 1stly both parties agree wif the selling price.

then asked the buyer to take down ur lisence plate no, ask him to get his own insurance.

after he got his insurance done, arrange to meet at LTA, 10 sin min drive. Transfering of bike will be done over there. The buyer would have to pay for the transfer fee.

Ask the buyer to go to tis website to check the transfer fee.

Do remember to bring along ic, log card n insurance.

That's all about it.
