Hi, I recently passed my license. My boyfriend is serving NS hence 5 days in 2 days out. so we decided to just share the bike when i pass.

Currently, the bike is still under COI, he's the 2nd Rider as the 1st Rider is his friend who sold the bike to him. He enquired to the shop and they are able to transfer ownership from his friend to him and add me as the subrider for $980 (inclusive of trf fee, service fee, agreement, 3 months coi). They updated that they would have to cancel the current insurance for the bike and apply a new one because I'm still pplate. Is that normal? So roughly we would have to pay $1.1k after deducting the refunded insurance.
