U nid to decide...even if u send to yr bike shop they will hv to get the parts from agent ultimately. unless yr bike shop can repair all parts without replacing then it boils down to workmanship..

why dun u take more pics den show it to MS n see water they say/recommend.

Hi guys was wondering if anyone can shed a light in this, does the xciting family (250, 300, 400 and 500) all has the same manifold size and contour of the pipe or they all are completely different?

They are different. Better to head down to the agent showroom to see with your own eyes. Difficult to describe just with words alone.

What is the manifold are you talking get about? Are you referring to the headers connected to the exhaust?

If you are then all 4 models has different sizes.

Yes the headers and the shape of the pipe. Saw a shop in Italy that sells Arrow racing headers but only for 250, 300 and 400, no love for the 500:(.

To make things worse, in Australia, probably I'm the 5th guy who own the 500ri non Evo, and kymco AU decided they're not going to bring anything bigger than the downtown 300i. So getting parts and acessories is quite a struggle.

The 500 is a very good scooter. Very hardy and in Singapore most 500 owners had upgraded to the myriad 700 with the exception of 1 guy the 500 coming to 10 years.

Performance accessories for the 500 is very rare unless you can modify. Check out YouTube on the xciting 500. One guy in Taiwan actually mod his 500.

You mean Spook, yeah, I'm actually very envious with his 500, man, wish I'm still is SE asia.

And can't really upgrade as well as nothing else bigger from Kymco in AU, next is Tmax which is around $14000AU, Burgy 650 $16500 and the Aprilia 850 which is $18000 :o.

Btw, here's the link if anyone interested, I did a lot of research and comparison for the price and I think they have the cheapest when postage is calculated into the total cost,

And here's the mob that I get all my parts from (malossi multivar, fly clutch, race springs and belt and some givi stuff), their price is not the lowest but postage is a flat 24 pound, last order came in a huge box as it has the givi screen for the scoot and child seat booster :).

Oh, and sorry, what I meant with the headers is the part that mount to the engine, and also the way that the pipe curves to the exhaust can, are they pretty much similar or completely different within the xciting family? Can really compare in the shop as they are none available :(.

So far nobody I know changed to the full system here. Cos we have very strict emissions control here.

Maybe you wanna write to arrow and check with them.

Cheers.

I had similar problems too but I'm not riding the same bike. Realize it was the suspension issue one side was harder than the other.

not sure if it applies to you but might wanna check on that

U have been posting in the various sections of the scooter thread.

What do u look for in a maxi-scoot actually? From there, perhaps we can advise.
