Think it would be better to do your own promoting of ur product, hence the bond between the owner and product is there. have u ever thought of starting small since u mention F&B. Like baking cookies and tarts from home, printing leaflets and slotting them urself, delivering to customer or asking them to ur home to collect.

Think its really better to start really small when little or almost no capital. Hence when it really fails, u wont feel the pinch. You can ask ur wife to bake cookies at home! =)

Anyway, with this small business, u can roughly gauge the market demand base on region like north, south, east, west. Hence you would know where you could set up ur shop or stall shall u decide to take it to another level.

Maybe can jio u "PAH LAO HOR" chit chat easier.

roy i have done both retail and f&b. trust me when i say retail really hard unless you have really quite a bit of $$$ to pump in. main concern is rental and storage costs. and stupid trends change like crazy. f&b a bit more stable kind of like blue chips... the need will end unless you do not sell the norm... food that is.
