Hi,

I tried to do a little search around but I got no results...so I thought I would post this qn here.

As a biker-to-be in the near future (I just signed up for my lessons! yipeee),

I am considering between Daelim B-Bone and SYM Combiz 125.

All reviews from current owners would be beneficial to me to aid me in the path of buying my first bike, :cheer:

What do you like most about the bike??

what do you hate most about the bike?

Thanks in advance~:thumb:

I think I can help you a bit with this question.

I currently own a combiz and I must say this bike is one of the best get-around scooters in SG. Not just because i own it i'll say its good but comparing it with other auto scooters, this bike is bang for the buck. I'll list down the pros and cons in point form for easy reading

PROS

1. This bike has the ability to carry ALOT of things. I mean its really made for such a purpose. The rear seat pops up so that you have a flat surface at the back to load and strap stuff on, eg boxes, a large bag. Personally, I've strapped a mini fridge at the rear and hauled it back home. The floorboard at the front is also large enough to carry things like a carton of drinks for example.

2. Its a low seated bike. Good for smaller built ladies in my opinion. Also helps in making the bike feel very stable when carrying goods.

3. Compartment is also reasonable. U have a very roomy under seat storage on the Combiz. I can keep my coupons, tools, wiping cloths and even stuff my raincoat under the seat. The small glove compartment also gives enough space for stuff. I usually put my drink there. Not forgetting the utility hook which you can fold if not in use.

4. Refuelling is very easy as the fuel port is right beside the glove compartment. This is especially useful when you already have stuff strapped on to the bike and need to refuel. Most scooters/ mopeds have their fuel port under the seat etc. so this to me is a very good feature.

CONS

1. Top speed slightly below 100km/h. If you're using this bike to zip around the neighbourhood its awesome. But if you live in Pasir Ris and work at Tuas, god bless you.

2. Seating position gets tiring if you are travelling long distance and don't bring the rear seat up. My back hurts every time I have to travel to 2nd link from Tampines if I don't use the backrest. Buttocks also can get sore!

3. There is virtually no other form of info except what you have in the brochure for this bike. I have searched intensively for more in depth info but get nothing. Don't get me wrong, servicing/maintenance of this bike is straightforward and parts are available at local dealers. But if you are into modding suspension, exhaust etc there is nothing aftermarket specific for this bike.

NEUTRAL

1. The fuel consumption. Its not something you would go wow nor is it guzzling like a Class 2 superbike. Just okay in my opinion. Oh, note that if you buy a brand new combiz, the idle timing might be a bit high and needs to be readjusted. Go to your mech.

I do hope this writeup is helpful for you. Cheers!

For some, there's therapy. The rest, they have Motorcycles.

Is the under seat compartment large enough for a helmet?
