Pg tyre wear rate on pirelli sc2 v2

Hi Guys,

 

I am seeing noticable wear on my rear right shoulder after completing appx 60 laps (including warm up laps) and probably able to last another session or two. Front tyre seems fine enough to pair another set of rear.

Just like to know if this is norm.

 

Bike cc: 600

Session: 5 session (in 3 seperate days) x 12 avg laps = 60 laps

PSI F/R: 30/28 cold

running @ avg lap time btw 1.55~2.05 (including warm up lap)

ur front will be as badly worn as ur rear. u r not even using e correct tyre pressure for track.....

Your tyre pressure seems not right IMO

you should aim for hot pressure instead.

cold pressure is just a benchmark.

t correct pressure thou is a s.e.c.r.e.t.

30/28 hot instead of cold seems abt right for supercorsa v2 sc2.

 

Usually i use up 1 x front for every 2 rear too! Will last a little longer if i flip the tyres to the opposite direction as our tracks usually have more right turns and the right side usually get worn out much faster.

How do you judge a tyre as cold? Do you wait for maybe 15 minutes before pumping air?
