Any1 DIY Luxeon LEDs for Headlights?

Any1 had this notion or tried it already? Is it do-able or will face a big LED overheating/burnout prob?

With proper heatsinking should be no problem. But I dun think it is a really good idea. Without proper reflector setup, the quality of the headlight output is not that great.

 

Maybe you can design your led arrangement in such a way that your reflector is able to do its job.

my guess there might be issues with the throw of the light.. might not reach as far as wat u expect it to be..

 

for cosmetic wise i think i should be nice.. other than that.. xenon bulbs would do a better job.. or filament bulbs for that matter..

These luxeon LEDS are expensive stuffs! yes heatsink is needed.
