After many years of passing my 2A, I'm gg to register for my class 2. Eventhough I'm staying in Tampines, hearing a lot of negative feedback on waiting time at CDC. So I'll be registering at SSDC.

Are there any helmets that is not recommended to wear for lessons? I still remember when I was taking my 2B, one ang moh wore a full face helmet. He was made fun by the instructor. By the 3rd lesson, I see him with a new open face helmet.

Some people said use the school helmet. Because of the colour/pattern (if I can still recall), it helps the instructor see if we're turning our head to check blind spot.

Trying to get as much tips as possible on the choice of helmets.

Do note that ssdc being in an mscp, the circuit is on the ground floor. It isn't exactly dim, but not brightly lit either. Also marginally stuffy.

I normally wear a full face when I ride, but I saved my old 2b/2a (training helmet) bought on the cheap to wear when there.

Easier to communicate with the instructors too. That being said, I've seen what a fall off e brake can do. Full face helmets, I've seen one or two guys wearing it in centre, but a tad too hot for me, for 2hrs continuous usage.

Above comment is really correct. It is adviseable to wear half face helmet rather than full face, being located at MSCP it will be too hot for you by using the Full face helmet.

can we use semi-tinted visor for practical?

If you think you got it, then get it.

Yes. Cannot use half tint, semi tint. I took my 2A there not long ago and brought my half tint outside-legal-to-use and was told my instructor that cannot use. He said school is school. Outside is outside.

I too prefers SSDC than CDC (I live in Serangoon btw). Got my 2B and 2A there.
