Sorry for this long post due to the attachment i have to this bike;

It is with sadness that I am letting go my seriously trusted and beloved X1-R which has been my very first mode of transport purchased since I moved to Singapore, and has performed flawlessly since new in 2008.

Along the years since I entered this relationship, I have had affairs with R6â€™s, and 2 new Ducatiâ€™s. I always kept the faithful X1-R as once the excitement of the bigger bikes wore off I would let them go. The X1-R really is a perfect bike in that it does exactly what its supposed to do 100% of the time, and costs pennies to keep and run. None of the bigger bikes fit the bill for me, as practical stress free transport. Now, since owning my KTM Duke 390 for a couple of months, I have found that the Duke is something that I can live with as my sole bike, and hence the hard decision to sell X1 has been made!

About the bike for sale:

July 2008 YAMAHA X1-R with nice number plate that has always brought me luck (8285).

Road Tax till Jan 2015.

I am the original owner, bought from AS Phoon.

Mileage just over 19,000km (this bike has usually been my 2nd or 3rd vehicle, hence very low usage)

Modifications kept simple with maximum safety and reliability in mind;

Big Brake kit with WP high performance brake pad, purchased and fitted by Team HKL Racing

Top of the line HELLA twin tone car horn (this mod is AWESOME. No more worries about cars changing into your lane once you sound this horn, they literally jump back into their lane!)

Upgraded heavier bar end weights, originals supplied.

Racing CDI ignition fitted by Wing Yap, gives a much improved top rpm range (this will be amplified if you fit an exhaust, but I wanted to keep it as stock and quiet as possible.

Expensive premium tyres in larger size than stock, Bridgestone Battlax BT39F-SS tyres, the rear one is BRAND NEW.

High quality Japanese O-ring chain

Kappa rack and box

Original owners manual, still sealed in original plastic bag!

Perfect commuter can achieve 40km/l easily, and I have achieved just over 50km/l with gentle riding.

I have EVERY single service receipt since the bike was brand new, all servicing done on time, and only fully synthetic oil used.

Only ever filled 98 petrol.

Bike has lived in basement carpark its whole life, PLUS I cover it also, hence there is no sun damaged or faded/cracked plastics.

Original fairings and paintwork, de-stickered since new, NEVER DROPPED.

Full service just done including spark plug.

This bike is immaculate, neatest cleanest and mechanically unmolested for factory reliability.

It has had only the very best treatment since brand new.

At current COE prices this is great value, especially when you factor in the Top Condition and ultra low mileage of just over 3000km per year travelled.
