Advice on riding in Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam

Hello fellow riders. Recently i just came back from a month trip in Vietnam with 19days with a bike from Hoi An to Hanoi. After returning to Singapore, i am intrigued to do more riding around South East Asia. I read post on fellow riders who had done Northern Vietnam route in 4 days and cleared the entire Laos in 15 days. However i wished to backpack a little and spent time to explore within the town and cities.

 

I am planning to buy a bike in Vietnam again and enter through Cambodia and Laos in 3 months. Anyone has any experience on this ? Alternatively, are there any riders who have experience in riding in these countries free to meet up and chat over coffee ?

Ive recently completed my north Vietnam bike trip for 18 days and its not enough time for me.

Have done south vietnam a year prior for 3 weeks too but north is totally different.

 

When do you intend to go again?

 

I would like to return and complete the "middle vietnam" from Dalat to Hanoi in a couple of months.

I stayed around the backpacking area and is in contact with a bike guide who operate a bike shop.

Was toying with the idea of buying a new bike and selling back to him.

 

Not sure about the procedure but he did told me he can "written-agreement"

for the proof of bike rental and the bike can go thru laos-cambodia and even sold there..with some kopi money.
