The present exchange rate for the Malaysian Ringgit is 2.16. That means the RM55 horn from the car shop on JB is S$25.46, already more than LAB's price of S$23.

Riding all the way to JB will also up the cost of the horn in terms of petrol for those not living Woodlands (me in Tampines).

Also, personally I don't mind paying S$5 (LAB-S$23 minus Mustaffa-S$18) for someone to install the horn for me.

UNLESS, people want to think of it as a fun trip, where we can ride in a group, have a little adventure finding the place, bargaining and going for makan or something like that, then it's a different story.

we can go Kulai n meet those who r going there 4 makan

Can't imagine it being better than any local shop, LAB included.

Scenario: JB shop installs horn, somehow lazy to connect a relay and does it when you're not looking or something lah, fries your CDI, bike cannot start, have to call tow truck to bring back to bike shop to fix CDI, then ride all the way back to JB to complain and ask them to fix, they refuse, you LL...

Even if LAB refuses to replace the horn, you don't have to ride out to Malaysia to find out...

The best is to D.I.Y the horn, not really difficult, there are circuit diagram provided, you will not be afraid the mechanic shoddy job.

Personally I will buy the hella horn(slim type) from Mustafa cost only $14 due to limited space and not to add extra weight to my bike.

You can keep the old one for souvenior.

Whether you can put the new one on the old location depends on the size of the horns that you buy. If they don't fit, you may need to relocate them.

not $18 meh? hv u fixed it? how gd is it?

well, maybe u have to drop down there and have a look. Coz i rem the hella ones are always out of stock and only left with the fiamm ones (he didnt tell u that right?) and the hella ones are much more sleeker and nicer looking, not forgetting a louder decibel too.

The $18 ones are the red colour shell type, its quite big not able to hide inside my fairings. The $14 ones are the size of the oem, flat and lighter. I did not fix as my stock horms are already quite loud.
