  1. There's no separate horn button, the system is connected to the stock horn system.
  2. Hi, for your reference I had this system installed on my Maxsym: http://screaming-banshee.com/indiegogo-plug-and-play https://www.facebook.com/pages/Screaming-Banshee-Singapore/406473952755534?fref=ts With this, I can retain the stock horn for friendly use while having the Screaming Banshee to do the job in venting my anger or letting my existent known. =P More infos on my setup: -Full Banshee Horn System (Black) with a super loud air horn -Ordered through the official site online and shipped from the US, paid over 100dollars for the whole system with shipping before someone in Singapore decided to bring them in (refer to the facebook link) -My model is not LTA approved since it consist of an air compressor, but no problems with the inspection if you don't press and hold on to the horn button. -The air compressor module is rather bulky -High quality built with all necessary wirings, connectors and fasteners included. -DIY self installed with the help of my friend who's also using the same system, had to remove the whole head fairing in order to find a suitable place to install the bulky horn, but there's literally plenty of space available -Managed to figure out the hi beam wiring through the help of Maxsym pdf service manual found online and connect to the Screaming Banshee control unit, it works! =) Please refer to the video clip to see how this advanced vehicle warning system works: Cheers and Ride Safe! - Jack -
  3. Just nice I need to remove the head fairing today for some work, your guide came in the right timing and it helps. Thanks! - Jack -
  4. Hi everyone! Have a nice day ahead. Happy mothers day to all. Cheers.
  5. Personally, I would recommend the Maxsym over the Joyride 300i. I'm around 165cm and 55kg by the way. No problem handling the bike on my very first day of ownership. The ride was awesome, especially along the expressway. Cheers.
  6. Noted with thanks, cheers!
  7. Greetings! Collected my Maxsym today. Looking forward to sharing my experiences on this bike with you all. Cheers! Regards, - jackelvin - Colour: Black Area: Tampines
  8. 15K for a Gilera Runner? Need more information on your situation. =|
  9. Hi, I've just called Hong Leong to enquire and was told by the sales manager that they wouldn't be bringing the X-Max 400i in to Singapore as they only bring in models straight from the factory in Japan. I guess the x max is only available for the European market at the moment. =(
  10. 2010 December registered low mileage S3 to let go (Still under warranty). Grey colour, Mileage 7000+km. Interested parties pls contact me at 81897037. Cheers. -Jack-
  11. I mentioned this issue to Roy during my servicing, he suggest to change the timing chain tensioner, which i recall, is quite common problem even among the big bikes. In a event whereby the tensioner could not provide enough tension to the timing chain, the chain would slack and cause adnormal noise to the engine operation. My issue was rectified right after changing that component under warranty. Thumbs up to the pro-active and excellent service from Roy and the team of people from CKA. Cheers.
  12. You can get them at those neighbourhood hardware/household shop, but you need to measure the length first becoz it's much longer than those usual sized door mat. I managed to find one really huge piece at cheap price(5-6 dollars cant remember exactly) But it's kind of thin in terms of thickness as compared to those 3M, 3A type car mat. So far never wear till got hole so still ok. Haha. As for secure i initially wanted to use car interior/bodykits clips to hold them using back the original holes. But i find those clips too expensive and hard to find the correct size, so i just buy one long strap of velcro to use. So far it has endured the rainy season and washing session and is still holding up well. I had this idea to replace the original ones as they gets dirty pretty easily. Hope this helps, any enquires feel free to ask me. Cheers.
  13. Nope, i bought those for the house(5-6 dollars for one big big piece) and fix it on with velcros straps for easy removal. Those for cars are way overpriced. =)
  14. Yup, I'll be highlighting that to Roy on my upcoming servicing. But it's not a starting problem, just some abnormal noise while idling. Anyway, got something to share with you guys, D.I.Y 3M style Mat: How you guys think?
  15. I don't ride that fast, so nope for me. But i do hear abnormal knocking noise from the engine recently at times during cold start. Anyone experienced that? -Kelvin-
  16. I do not encounter this issue, but may i know the poor acceleration is due to the transmission(high rpm, poor acceleration) or poor engine respond/loss of power(high throttle, slow revving rpm)? Thanks. Hope you get your issue solved soon. -Kelvin-
  17. Hi, may i know wad grade of petrol do you usually use? Thanks. -Kelvin-
  18. I had the same case as yours when my bike was a few weeks old. It happened after washing my bike. Could not get those light to shut off with the main switch off. Worried that the battery might drain off, i removed the main fuse to cut the supply. Drop by CKA the next day to find everything back to normal. Could'nt trace the root of problem. I guess it's water getting into the electro switches. 2 more months and my bike will be 1yr old. Receiver Key battery low indicator blinking already. Bought spare battery but yet to change. Just waiting for the current battery to die off completely. How's the case for you guys by the way? Sighted 3 other daelim S3s on the road at my workplace area today, getting more S3 on the road! Cheers, -Kelvin-
  19. Hi sym7, if i'm not wrong, under the first 2year period covered under the manufacturer warranty, CKA does provide labor free maintenance with reference to the servicing booklet given to you. This includes cleaning of your air filter, transmission system and so on. All you have to pay for is the cost of the replacement/expandable parts like spark plug, air filter, belt, brake pads etc. It's definitely worth letting CKA handle your bike maintenance during your warranty period even though myself for example, prefer to use the brand of engine oil which is not available at CKA. I'm alright with supplying my own oil and paying the extra 10 dollars fee. Cheers. -Kelvin-
  20. Initially i also thought tat one screw is all i need to remove to change the bulb. Then i realised that i'm wrong. Well you do have to remove 3 or 4 screws (i cant remember exactly how many) to remove the round plastic cover which gives access to the engine in order to gain access to bulb. As for tat one screw, you dont really need to remove it. I've thrown away the box so i dunno wad size is the bulb. It's the same bulb as those tat are used on the dashboard (speedo/gear selector indicator etc), slightly smaller than a pill. There should be only one such bulb size around. Best is you remove the original bulb and use it to compare before buying. Got mine for 1 dollar at autobacs ubi by the way. Hope this helps. Cheers. -Kelvin-
  21. I hear loud plastic rattling noise from the rear while accelerating when i have a pillion. Couldn't trace where the sound came from. But i suspect it's just some excessive clearance and vibration between some plastic panels. But i do realized that there's a bolt from a clip holding on to the rear brake hose to the rear wheel mud guard went missed twice due to the vibration. Currently i'm using cable ties to secure it the clip and so far so good. =) I guess the high vibration is due to the high flowing exhuast design after all. Not a concern to me anyway.
  22. Hi, i understand that this might be your first time riding a CVT (continuously variable transmission) belt driven bike. The CVT drivetrain is different from normal transmission drivetrain as the engine's rpm normally will stay constant in a certain range while the vehicle is accelerating. As i'm lazy to type further, you can do some research online to know more on the CVT and there are some links for your reference: http://www.howstuffworks.com/cvt2.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuously_variable_transmission
