  3. need some help again guys wanted to go out but my bike could not start. changed the spark plug and it is still unable to start. when i press the electric ignition button and hold it down, there is a clicking sound. anyone knows what problem is this? seems like gotta call for tow truck to tow it down to A.C Motors again
  4. So, after 5 days, i finally got my bike back from AC Motors last Friday. breakdown of repairs as follows: Gasket $60 4 x Valve $80 ($20 each) Coolant $40 Engine Oil $28 Plug $8 Labour Charge $240 Total: $456, was charged $450 did i just become a carrot?
  5. i did ask but could not understand the terms and explanation used... so came on to ask if the price is within acceptable range or whether i got chopped but im trusting him since he seems recommended as a good mech with normal/reasonable prices. im not too sure if i need the block head. i will call him later to check and as well as any updated status on my bike. thanks for the offer
  6. 3 1/2 yrs old. damn sian. less than 2 months kena this. maybe i bought a cui one
  7. guys, sorry but i have another urgent query. my bike had major problems starting so i sent it down to AC Motors again. top overhaul + valve clearance need $600? AC Motors quoted me that price. told me my engine got problem. yea. he's at his new unit now. up and running.
  8. towed to AC Motors. true enough, spark plug dead.
  9. i parked the bike at 6pm yesterday evening and went down at 9.30pm wanting to ride off. could not start. i tried kick start also cannot start. really at a loss. dont know what happened. i have been riding the whole day for work purposes and nothing went wrong. will go down again and try to locate the plug as mentioned...
  10. yes, there is sound when i press the ignition. i did not try the horn though. yes the lightings work, the rpm meter and speedo meter swings when i turn on the ignition key. yes there's sufficient fuel. fuel meter currently at 3rd bar. guess i'll go downstairs 1 more time to give it a try before calling AC Motors to tow it to them... thanks for the help guys. at least when i go down there and if he asks me all these, i won't be a lost sheep
  11. need some urgent help guys. have been riding my gts200 with no problems for the past month or so. all of a sudden, when i wanted to go out just now, i could not start my bike! electric start, kick start, all could not start. previously it was 1 press on the electric starter and the engine starts up fine. it was running totally fine earlier in the day too. so anyway, i guess my only option now is to tow to a bike shop. any recommendations? i went to AC Motors previously for an engine oil change and that's it. still new to maxi scooters. living in the east. please recommend me. i need to call tow first thing in the morning. only managed to get half day off
  12. thanks for the response too. feel much assured with 2 bros confirming this. really scared the **** out of me, first scoot and that sounded like it would implode. lol
  13. yea the sound is from the exhaust. i even squatted down to hear haha. anyway that is great news! THANKS for the reply!
  14. anyone encountered before?
  15. thanks mighty max i intend to bring it down to future scootering to remove the rust and reapply thermal paint. ON A VERY URGENT SIDE NOTE: I parked my bike after coming back from a location and i hear clanking sounds coming from my exahust!! please tell me that is not something alarming!
