One more question. Can I chrome the exhaust instead of replacing it, as there are some 'dots' of rust on it.

Hi all, I just commited to buying a 2nd hand shadow (97'), and appreciate your advice on the following: 1. Is it normal for the gas tank to feel a bit 'shaky', and not as firmly mounted as what I seen in other cruisers. I was told the slight shakiness is due to design and intended absorb shock during movement. 2. If this is not normal, what would be the likely consequence? gas leakage? 3. What would be the approximate cost to replace the exhaust, as it is a bit rusty? Where can I get a replacement (boon siew?? or any place else cheaper?) 4. Must the exhaust be replaced in entirety or just a single pipe? Thanks a lot and happy riding.

I am riding one now and plan to upgrade. FN plate, low usage (occassional weekend use and to work, all within 15km) since I bought Mar last year. COE till 2016. Excellent condition. Asking $2200, what the shop quote me for trade-in. Can let go with Givi box. I am contactable at 91282600.

Hello, Does anyone know how much does a new Dragstar cost? Trying to work out if a 3 year Dragstar at 10.3k is worth getting. I am kinda of attracted by the accessories that come with it, whereas a new one comes naked (no accessories) - correct me if I am wrong. Thanks in advance.

Thank you to all of you!! Found the throttle timing adjustment knob by using the above method (observe the moving part when turning the throttle). I've also adjusted the timing, and seems much better now.

trying to avoid going back to the same shop - charged me $139 for regular servicing, which I thought was quite expensive. if it is a simple tweak, I rather learn from the gurus here instead of sounding ignorant and kanna chop. btw, my bike is 2nd hand and doesn't come with manual.

This happens after my bike was sent for servicing - including caburetor cleaning. the timing could have been touched. if i can ask a stupid question - where exactly is the caburetor?

My engine stalls occassionally when I shut my throttle completely while leaving the engine idle with the clutch engaged when waiting for green traffic light or preparing to slow down. I think there is some adjustment that can be made to increase the supply of of fuel so that the engine won't die off (I can hear that the engine sound is weakened - near die off, until I turn up the throttle again). Appreciate your advice please. Thanks in advance.

I just paid $139 for Honda Steed 400 servicing (slight less than 3000k after the previous servicing). The breakdown as follow: $12x3 Engine Oil = $36 $5x4 Spark Plug = $20 Oil filter = $20 Air filter = $43 Workmanship = $20 I am wondering if I kanna chop or not, as my car servicing cost more or less the same or cheaper. Do you have any recommendation on motordiem around Thomas/Balestier/Farrer Park areas? Appreciate your view and suggestion please. Thanks.
