Hi Guys, After I initiated this post, I spent alot of time reading on all the bikes (Sports as well as streets). I also collected the prices to buy first hand. Just to share with you. BMW S1000R is the best bike out there in performance but the price tag I got from BMW dealer is 33K without COE (Out of my budget). Triumph Speed Triple is the second best choice with the price of 30K base and 31.5K with ABS OTR. Honda CB 1000R performance is a bit too low. During this comparison I considered Yamaha FZ09, FZ1, CB 1000R, Kawasaki Ninija Z1000. But when I really dig down Street triple is actually better value for money. It is considered better performance overall bike compared to all the 600-800cc bikes including monsters 796, 696 (I am not compare the looks or sounds). Comparison considered the similar class models from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki & Kawasaki Under the sports catagory I found Honda CBR 1000RR is out performing other bikes from Jap makers. I couldnt get the correct price for the machine. So now my final list now includes following Street Triple Speed Triple CBR 1000RR I am just confused among sports and street here also with engine size. Comments and any more information is welcome. I am spending 30K which needs more research for best value for money with Speed dex.

Hi, I recently got my Class 2 license. After a lot of research on all type of bikes, finally I decided to go with Naked Bikes. But there are so many cool bikes from whole range of Manufacturers. I am considering only around 1000cc. Price is not the problem. So far I am considering the maintenance and parts as I will be keeping this bike for long time. The bikes under considerations are: 1. Speed Triple (Read a lot of good stuff) 2. BMW S 1000R (2014 model seems good) 3. Honda CB 1000R - (Good to maintain in Singapore ?? ) 4. Ducati Monster (696/796/1100) - Reviews not good but looks are I personally dont like Yamaha & Kawasaki that much, but ideas are welcome too. I dont do tracks or long distance travel. Please add more if I am missing in my research. I am concerned as its going to be a long term decision for me. dex.
