My heart always in sg.
My advise, change to a thicker oil only if you feel that your current oil fails to deliver it's normal life span.
In another words, you engine has reach it's wear & tear that current oil can't deliver.
I've tried a couple of oil right from as thin as 5W40 to 20W60 during my diversions' days. 5W50 is the oil that delivers to my needs... in turns of engine responds, fuel consumptions, engine heat, oil life span for touring and city usage etc.
For now, I don't know as different style of riding will have different needs.
There is a lots of theory behind the usage of oil that most of us just use what the shop or agent used cos it's too expensive and need experiance to choose the correct oil.
Thinner or thicker has they goods & devils and we'll have to play around them.
If intersted to know more, come to the meetup and I'll explain in details. Old liao... to lazy to type.
