  1. no need to take out batt if its just 20day. but if you want to playsafe and do take out.... do insulate the cable, loose cable touching the batt terminals might cause sparking. that will damage the elect system. the correct removing method is to remove +ve first follow by -ve and fixing back is the opposite.
  2. i believe u need to run-in a new set of tyres and wet roads are not the best place u want to do it...... better to plan ahead and change them before the raining days so that u can have a proper set of tyres fit for the wet roads ahead.....
  3. for my case, i was going the same direction as the car and it was slightly infront of me on the left lane and i was on the right lane... approching a juntion, the car signal left but cuts into my lane and made a sudden right turn....... if i'm in your cousin situation, i will always wait for the vehical to turn b4 i move off.... signal lights can never be trusted......
  4. was almost hit by a car that signal left but turn right instead...... learned never to trust other vehicals signals but only as an indication that they might want to change direction or speed..... let them pass or be prepared to stop....
  5. keep up the good work !!!
  6. these strips are suppose to make you slow down along the stretch of road but actually according to theroy of simple harmonic motion..... it is better to go over this strips at higher speed than lower.... reasons being that these strips are evenly spread and going over at higher speed our suspension will take the bounce and will not have enough time to transfer this motion to the body and handle bar of the bike... its is hard to control the bike when it is bouncing not to mention that it is very uncomfortable...... the problem with going over these strips at higher speed is when the road is wet.... the strips become very slippery...... try it.... find a dry day with strip on a straight road.... go over them at different speed and fell the difference..... hope this is usefull......
  7. very detail and useful manual...... every s4 owner should have one.... tks for the effort
  8. at least now we have the english manual cover ...... tats a good start.... hope to see the whole manual soon......
  9. tats wat i try to do too... straight from 1pt to the other...... avoid any leaning of bike while on metal plates.... and always go slow cos will always eats into other vehical lane.....
  10. the other should be the breathing hose to prevent pressure built up in the tank...
  11. always give enough space and time for yourself to react..... never push yourself or your bike to the limit..... the road infront is unpreditable.... if you happen to meet the unpredictable and you are already at the limit... you will cross the limit... once you cross the limits you are no longer in control.... ride safetly.....
  12. can u use a manual hand pump... those use to pump water out from fish tank... open the eo fill cover and insert the pump in..... since it is already overflowing... how u noe how much to pump out.... did u change your eo at combine motor....
  13. tks.. will try to make it....
  14. can consider getting a 2nd hand tank if repair cost is to ex$$..... jus swop the fuel cap over so that you dun need another keys for the tank.....
  15. looks like a very nice trip..... wish i can join u guys.... will try to make it for future trip.... keep up the good work....
  16. if i dun have IU how
  17. i think this is abit to warming up of engine...... anyway.... tats way ppl say drag gear to go faster..... changing each gear at a higer rpm will help achive a higher speed range..... if you riding a spec3.. it comes with vtec. means at 100 to 110km/hr your vtec should open by now and this will cause the bike to change in the way it vibrates..... hope this help....
  18. sound from the chain normally means a loose chain of a worn out chain/spocket.... tighten the chain if the sound still there.... time to change. the chain is suppose to sit nicely on the spocket..... go to your rear spocket after tightening the chain try to move the part of the chain sitting on the spocket... if it can move alot means time to change the spocket too.... dun wait for the chain to snap.... hope this helps..........
  19. coolent level will drop after a coolent change but i dun think the whole reserve will be empty...... if there are sign of coolent in your cylinder means either your gasket leaking or your cylinder wall crack as coolent run isolated around your engine and will never b in your cylinder... if coolent leaks into your cylinder it should also be in contact with your engine oil.... your engine oil will turn whitish or light brown if there is a leak.... this will degrade the engine and will damage your engine..... if its gasket leak, jus change it and problem solve but if its cylinder wall crack, then there will be alot of $$$$ involve...... hope this helps.....
  20. but always make sure your front is clear b4 u look back..... dun blind spot ok but turn back to see a big truck in your face..... its gd to always do a final blind spot check as you will not know wat is lurking behind u........ jus my 2cent worth.....
  21. chrome plated parts are normally very shining and slightly bluish in colour when you look at a certian angle..... it will rust if the chrome layer is scrach or dented.... pure stainless steel parts are normally less shining and slightly yellowish...... will also rust if its attack by chemicals.... routing cleaning with water will keep it looking new..... stainless steel do not rust due to a naturally form CrO2 (chromium oxide) layer and this layer is much stronger then chrome plating. but if this layer is chemicaly remove before a new layer of CrO2 can form natrually, the Fe (iron) content in the stainless steel will start to form FeO2 (rust) by reacting with the O2 (oxygen) in the air..... hope this help.....
  22. depends on body size... if small built quite ok... if got wind sheild on bike better..... keep body abit low n knee grip fuel tank... not much wind resistance...... jus dun try to be a "sail on a boat" if u get wat i mean...... if without box can handle bike better..... hope this is usefull....
  23. these are rough average figure......... 18km/l for constant vtec is normal 20km/l for seldom vtec is normal ver s can can get abt 25km/l s4 crusing at high speed is quite ok.... not much vibration even up to 160km/h.... bike is quite comfortable jus like at speed of 60km/l....... ride the s4 to feel it......
  24. gd u understand my english........ yap.... going up is the same too.....
  25. it works on hump right before slope as if you go 45degree (or more) across, it reduce the lenght of your bike going over the hump and onto the downward slope.... if u go straight down... your front wheel will need to travel futher down the slope b4 your rear wheel start on the slope thus increase your bike downward angle.... hope u understand wat i talking..... becareful when u carryout this act.... dun loose balance......
