  3. Thanks for reply. But does the bike shop have the authority to force the bike owner to take up the type of insurance coverage just because they are still under installment? My previous year encounter is that my bike shop called down to insurance company and stopped them from selling me 3rd party insurance... Is this normal for all bikeshops or just mine?
  4. Hi gSR Bros, My Road tax and insurance is due next month. However I am still on 2 years installment with my bikeshop and they INSISTS me to take up 2nd party insurance despite I can only afford 3rd party at the moment. Their reason is that I am still under installment so have to follow their procedures. Is that true?Anyone encountered this before? Is there anyway that we can get around this?
  5. Hi Unique Motors, I would like to enquire for the pricing to change my front and back tyres + change of engine oil 3.2Litres + oil filter at your toh guan branch. Is there any packages provided by your company? Regards, Orangdez:cool:

  7. Hi all, Thanks for all the advice and I managed to find the idling point. I tuned to between 1.3 - 1.5. Is that ok? Will the fuel consumption be higher now as i can hear that the engine is reving quite fast and loud now. (Not sure If i overadjust the idle point). If overadjusted, will it have any negative impact on the bike ? Anyone encounter this before? Regards, Orangdez
  8. Hi all, Thank you for all your valuable tips. I shall try to locate it after work today. So am I right to say I have to remove the 1) plastic cover(covering the tool kit) and the 2) black cover covering the engine then 3) look up to locate the idling screw? Thank you all once again! Orangdez
  9. Hi all GSR bros, May i seek your help on adjusting the idling for GSR400 as I not sure where the screw is? I read through the forum and some mention the side cover. Attached are some pics that I tried to locate the cover but cannot find the screw. The 1st pic shows a side cover(not sure is it the right one) and the 2nd pic shows the inner side of the cover. Need urgent help as my idling is about 0.6 and my engine stalls super frequently. Regards, Orangdez

  15. Sorry for sounding long winded but you mean that the problem will just go away after some time? I have been monitoring the problem for the past week but it dosen't seems to go away. Just checking if there is any setting that I can perform on my own to solve the problem. If not no choice have to waste money to go back bike shop to kana chop by them le.
  16. Thanks Dinie for your quick response. Yah, mine is a first hand but i bought from a bike shop from alexandra not from Guan Hoe. They did not mention anything about the warranty when i bought mine. Usually how long is the warranty? Btw, mine is a GSR400.

  18. So where is everyone le? I finally got time to check in haha... Law, Adrain and all.... how is it going ?
  19. haha... unless he want to take my engine and put in his(KooTeowMan) frame... keke Agree with Koo TeowMan $4500 can get, but really depends on luck.. I was lucky, Den and the rest spotted mine n told me before it's sold off.
  20. sell mine? hummm can't bear to but i am thinking la... khaitronic - can't help you on the condition. got to ask those who have this bike for some time.
  21. wah...really anyhow quote price... 6k ..
  22. Limsteel - stare bike ba... cannot b me?... keke... just another gal on bike ah.. Khaitronic - mine was... abt 3500, then i got maintenance work done thereafter, in total abt $4400... yap... agree with Limsteel, cos those ppl who walk in bike shop to get SV usually will get 'chop' cos they know only a handful will like it. n also no market value. I ever been to one shop when i was searching for one. The shop uncle say : 'what bike ah? SV ah ... scarp until do't know where liow..' see wht i mean?
  23. Helo Ppl, hw is the CNY? Mine , sob I was working khaitronic- i guess I was lucky. Got my SV within 1 mth and lucky i down payment first, cos the mech says someone came around(that was a year ago or so...) and want to get it. maybe u wait till I sell ba... hee hee. Everyone who owns sv, will never regret having it. At least for me, I am a proud owner, it's a lovely bike n (agree with LimSteel) lots n lots of stares from the ppl at the traffic light sigh.. keke. I think the 400 n TL1000 is the rare lots of the SV family. Correct me if i am wrong, 400 was meant for Jap market, while the 650 was a big hit in the UK. Good luck in the quest dude
