As above?

Any documents you should processed in order to say that the bike is lawfully yours?

For eg,

log card , insurance under your name ?

and what else is needed?

lta will send u a letter.

i do have a photocopied log card, with the owner which is myself.

lta did not send it to me, i guessed the bike company given it to me

does that proove anything?

this is confusing as to, if your bike is under hire purchasement, after you finished the installment, how to make sure the bike is yours?

i seeen case of our fellow bikers, which he finished installment and the boss running it's way .. and he cannot get hold of the ownership of the bike..

thats pretty scary..

Keep all your previous receipts. This will proves that you have made all your payments, if the shop wanna play punk.

Nowadays, no more log cards. The log can be printed from LTA website. If the shop is a reputable one, you should not have a prob. But make sure you keep all agreements and receipts from the shop.

I see, so the log card doesnt proof anytime now..

Yeah.. i am keep every single receipt i have when i paid my installment..

a photocopied of the agreement has been pass to me only after i asked it through C.A.S.E from the the bike shop.

the bike shop did not issue me intially..

there are some more documents i signed, but think that they are all hire purchasement regulations and terms..

1 more thing, my friend become my gurrantor.. he signed something too. do not know why the bike shop did not passed any photocopied documents that we signed to us..

anyway, i think that my bike shop might be quite reputable as they got 3 branches and 1 main hq all around SG. but they have got bad reputation as well.. for overpriced!!!

really hope they dun punk me.. slightly feel scare after i see cases of fellow bikers which cannot get ownership of their bike after they finished their installment.

rather unfair!.. and no justice can be sought.. unless he hire lawyer to fight the case himself..

if u know u had fully paid ur installment, its shd b rightfully & legally urs. To play safe, call up ur bike shop ask if ur installement is fully paid up. If so, they shouldnt disturb u and ur garantor anymore.

dun think nd any letter from LTA or bike company.

I have one story to share. True story. Victim (Me) and Ubi bike shop. My ZX4 was still under installment for like 1k+ at $190+ per month. Like 9 more installments to go. Suddenly I received a letter from Hong Leong Finance saying that From WEF bah bah bah that hong leong owned my bike and all installment is to be paid to hong leong. Ok lor, Hong leong nearby my house, easier to pay installment. After 3 months of installment, my ZX4 disappeared, i feel like crap and 1st i call up motorshop. Indeed, they towed back my bike. I was damned pissed off and ask to speak to the boss (motortiam). I yell and screamed at them about me paying installment to hong leong, the boss did not believe me and luckily i kept all my receipt. I brought all my receipts and took a cab down. Yell at the boss again and waited like 1hr to see my bike. The key hole was damage and I demand for a change. Yeah, then they give me a none original key set cos they dun have the original Kawa key set. Lan Lan, spend the whole day, $$ for cab fare and all nonsense just because the motortiam had bad loan record with hong leong finance.
