Good evening to all SBF members.

Can anyone please assist or advice me with my enquiry?

Late at night around 8pm on the 9th july, while traveling down telok blangah from ECP toward Vivo. My bike ran over a big rock, both tires whacked onto it big time but luckily my life is still intact.

Manage to stay compose and balance myself prior stopping to the side of the road. Both tires flat like **** and engine dripping engine oil and sian big time.

Tow it to unique the next day and mechanics say engine chassis has crack and damage beyond repair. It will not be safe to ride the bike any further.

Now it the time, what am i gonna do or what can i do with the bike in which i may be able to get a bit of cash for the next ride.

Any advice???

Thank you.

1) Go by insurance, total loss, get the market value.

2) Try to con someone by selling it

3) Replace frame, fix up the bike, continue using.

I would not recommend option 2.

Big rocks on the road... sounds like an LTA related issue. Isn't the LTA supposed to keep the roads safe for motorists to use?

In this case, you may want to consult legal advice and see if you can claim from LTA instead of claiming your own insurance.

Did you manage to take photos or have any witnesses or any cameras near by to prove that the rock on the road caused the accident?
