Hi fellow cruisers,

Some pics of my neighbour's wicked Triumph Rocket III together with my Suzuki Boulevard. Hope the pics load up... been trying all afternoon and been getting errors.

Have a happy new year!

Btw if you remove the rear seat, it looks quite wicked as a single seater too. The rear wheel arc comes nicely and meets at the central seat which is quite low slung. Makes it really nice.

Would anybody happen to know current selling price for Rocket III? Mah is closed for 5 days (as far as I know they are still the (only) distributor? Thanks in advance!

I would hazard a guess that it's the most expensive production bike available in S'pore. Maybe in the S$70k range? Don't really know.

Will post when I find out.

Hi hi...My guess would be around S$38K to S$45K, but do look up MAH and get the actual on the road price...If it goes beyond that, you might want to reconsider your plans and maybe look into other makes and models....Coz if it goes beyond S$45K, it's better to get the customized Harleys like e.g. Night Rod, Street Glide Special or something...That'll worth your $$$$, if you have more than enough....Good luck on your Bike hunt brother...

Thanks guys. I thought the honor of the most expensive road bike went to the MV Agusta :-) but one never knows... I have a Harley as my commute-to-work bike (and love it) :thumb:

The first time I tried the Rocket III, the strain was not in my arms or hands, but my NECK!

The sheer acceleration was like driving a sports car without the body or chassis of the car to deal with - imagine just sitting on top of a muscle car engine and nothing else. In 1st gear all I could feel was the massive low end torque and when I looked down, the speedo read 80 kmh and I had hardly twisted the throttle.

The first time I rode it, the feeling in my mind was like, "Oh my god! Oh my god! where is all this power coming from?!"

The initial tendency when riding this bike is to grip the handlebars very very hard, but you soon realise it's counterproductive. There's really no need to cos you'll only be fighting the bike in a battle you'll surely lose given it's 360kg weight.

Having said that, I still feel my Boulevard is a more relaxing and smooth ride that suits me better (for now anyway!)

Hi hi...I'm not sure about the weight but hey, i'm not a big guy but if the bike is nice, weight doesn't matter to me my brothers....I can still remember when i got my first Yamaha RoyalStar that came fully accessorised with the original saddlebags, backrest, sissy bar, windshield, fog lights and crashbars...And as a new over the 1000cc rider, and since the RoyalStar doesn't come with the fuel meter indicator, i just rode and rode the bike until it choked and i turned on the reserves and rode and rode and rode...Until it choked and died on me along the Bedok Reservoir Expressway heading to Changi...

Now at that moment, panic took over and from small size pee wee herman, the strength of the Incledible Hulk took over and guess what, i pushed the RoyalStar all the way into Tampines and went to the nearest Shell station to re-fuel...Now, that's the same my brothers for any bikes to me...hehehehe... And the story is not a make believe, it actually happen to me....

Hahahahahaha....And that was a real big lesson for me brother....Anyway, the moral of my story wasn't about me being stuck along the highway pucshing my big...but about if you like the bike and it's comfortable for you financially and emotionally, well go and get it my brothers....
