Bro sorry to hear your mishap.Anyway did u not install the crash bar? That tyre is MRF,i heard from the mechanic that HKL that tyre is manufatured from Germany and its a hard compound tyre.Which i believe its more for Indias road,if you know what i mean.I changed mine to bridgestone batlax i think is BT39ss.ITs great for me.

I think the original tire really can last!!!

Being using the bike for 6 months and the tire's groove is still the same depth!!!

Sorry to hear that bro. In fact, two weeks after i got my pulsar in OCT, i also skidded in your scenario. Back then was the rainy season. Nothing serious cos i had crash bar back then. SO it was the only thing that bend. I took it out after tat. I changed my rear tyre after tat.

Then on the first day of CHinese New Year, i had another accident. This time i hit the left rear of a car. With my little sister as pillion. Lucky she wasnt hurt. I suffered multiple abrasions on my right side. But i did all my repairs already. This time round i changed my front tyre as well.

If i recalled correctly, these are some of the things i asked about the cost @ Universal.

handle bar = $36

entire headlamp (excluding bulb) = $65

signal light = $18

Brigdestone front tyre = $75

Bridgestone rear tyre = Shd be $85

Body Steering support = $20

Rubber foot rest = $3

The spare parts are not that expensive, judgin from your fall, it wasnt that serious. Even for my 2nd accident, the bike still looks ok. But im learning from my mistakes. So now gaining back my confidence to ride as normal. Anyway, take care....Life is PRICELESS.

Oh goss, your accident change so many parts liao ar!!!

You guys should tell Universal to change the stock tires to a more reliable one when selling their bike. After all, how many are so lucky to survive a fall?

If too often Pulsar were seen lying on the roads, do you think that's a "GOOD" advertisement for them?

Haha, i believe those agents will tell you to install outside or they install for you but you pay extra!!!

yes it will.. infact the bajaj 220CC has the same fuel saving as our current bajaj 180CC. but than must wait quite a while lah.. i think they will try to finish this batch of third gen bajaj pulsar than they bring in the 200CC.

I notice that the 200cc version have crome look "full system" without the "full" chain guard and the tank is smaller compare to the previous 2 version...

Just wondering whether the 200cc will be as problematic as the 180cc UGIII, particularly the electronics :giddy:

Once i ride on road and the weather condition is perfectly fine but my bike just stop by itself!!! Later try to start can only crank but can't start. Anyone experience this before?

And this morning i on the key, press the start button, can't even crank!!!

Try ON OFF a few times then ok liao!!!

Actually my last bike i have used b4 slippery when wet tires which i think if u get used to it... no prob.. even the best dry grip tire loses its grip on rainy days. Battlax BT39 is no doubt a good tire but this tire IMHO, the groove is deep but as time wears off the gripping is no longer there but the groove is still visible. this may danger pple unknowing cos they think their tires are still good bcos the thread is still good.

Anyway Denso U24FER i think we can use for pulsar. I did a search on plugs at denso webby. our champion sparks convert to Denso numbers, anything with U in front is safe to use... but oso muz see the length of the electrode where the spark is produced whether the length same anot.

UGIII version is too high tech already... i got sometimes turn the ignition oso cant crank but i use kick start hahaha.

Ya when is the hazard lights session on man? pls not this friday cos im working...

Have anyone tot of changing their rear rims to RXZ rear sport rim??? these can save the hassle of going to agent juz to get the sprocket and the RXZ rim tires are 90/90 easier to find than 100/90 - our stock size.

Life Is Never Fair.

Some pple slog for the paper in their wallet.

Some slog to feed the paper to the pple w/o the wallet.

Patience, my fren. It's still on. Just a question of when. No choice but to wait till Alex (Paiseh) is free. No Alex, no DIY session. Trust me, as far as the hazard lights r concerned, it's worth the wait cos much better n cheaper than doing at motortiam.

Hi guys,

I will be going down to universal this saturday. Most probably booking a Pulsar UG3. Can I know what are the things that I should take note of, and what documents do I need to bring?

Thanks

Hi, the 4.2k price tag is machine price or On-The-Road price?

hi.. slip of my mind.. its not 4.2 ..its $5.2k which include :-

- the machine

- COE

- ERP unit

- transfer fee

- 5% GST ( for now)

- registration fee

- 6 months road tax

- free raincoat or helmet

and adding to my insurance >> 24, p-plate, 3rd party(fire and theft) >> $950

which will add up to $6150.

so it all depands on yr insurance after the $5.2k.

as this is a new bike & and new rider, i settle for the second highest insurance but maybe the following yr will change to the 3rd party only insurance cost around $300++ which also depands on yr age & experience.

wat bike r u riding or maybe looking around for bikes??

Bajaj pulsar(200 stiker)

Honda Super4(PB1)

Suzuki DRZ(sub rider)
