hi,

when you are running in the bike, do your top up the engine oil if it is slightly below the lower marker?

just drain off and refill new bottle of oil lo...

Anyway just to share with u guys my knowledge on air cool engine.

Air cool engine needs to have good and sufficient amount of engine oil as the engine tends to "absord" the engine oil, making the amount lesser each day.

So i suggest don't wait till 5000KM then change oil, maybe make it earlier about 3500 or 4000...

Just my opinion only nia!!!

I think there's no need to do so, anyway you'll need to do a oil change at 400KM

I'm doing oil change at 400km, 1200km, 3000km

the 1st oil change is a shock to me, the oil is so dirty, is like didn't change for 10000km!!!

too much the oil will overflow...thats all...make ur bike really oily...hehehe and also make revving a little harder...the engine seems "heavy" to move off...how much if i wanna instal a rear box? have to forsake my beautiful tailight for a more practical thing... :bounce:

24seven- 1 top box is not enough for me. I am thinking of installing another 2 side panniers. but dunno where to find a suitable one pulsar.

Its up to individual to change at any mileage.

If you feels like changing at 1000km or even 500km, it's still up to individual!!!

But if you are using a very good engine oil, no point changing it so early, just wasting your hard earn money lo...

Yes, it's up to the individual.

If change EO after a mileage that is lesser than the recommended after every 2500km, then of course the better lor. In fact, Universal's recommendation is after every 2000km.

But to change EO after a mileage that is more than the recommended after every 2500km would mean taking an unnecessary risk. So unless u feel that u know abt Bajaj bikes better than Bajaj itself, I think it's best to follow the manufacturer's recommendation.

Come on, the Pulsar uses 1 litre of EO nia.

No offence, just my 2-cent's worth.

Yup totally agree, thats why i use only semi syn oil.To prolong the engine life.By the way you cant tell whether the eo is still protecting your engine from wear and tear.EO can cause power loss after a certain mileage and trusts me you can feel it.That means higher F.C.

go to bike shop tell them u 1 2 short the kill switch... means they will solder a jumper wire inside so the switch becomes useless... for show only.

1 thing to note, dun warm up too long, but do give maybe 1 min for the oil to circulate b4 moving off cos i realised that in the morning or after parking a long time, i start my engine i can hear the piston rubbing against the block then awhile later few secs, the sound is gone the EO lubs the piston.

top up ur EO wif the gauge at the side follow the CENTRE of the glass not at the side where the circumference of the glass is ( i noe see from the side easier cos the marking is at the side) Bcos the side level is always slighty higher than the centre so follow the centre cos then is then the true level of EO. most impt the engine muz be cooled at least 1 hr b4 u check so the allow the oil the circulated while u were riding settle down.

hope my pointers not too lorso...

thanks.

happy riding.

1 more thing i juz took out both plugs to check for sign of carbon becos i experience rpm 3-5 very hard to pick up or the air flow too much causing some jerking... realised that the original champion plugs are over tighten and the gap at the tip of the plugs too much... knocked slightly so the gap lesser now the prob not a jialat as b4...

im changing to NGK plugs when its time to change plugs.

Construction: Iridium centre electrode

3. Denso IU27

Use rating 8 for ngk plugs and ratings of 24 for denso plugs.

8 n 24 are more suitable for of country... for stop n go... 9 n 27 for long distance cruising.

Hi guys, i recently got hold of some high powered T10 LEDs (6 very very very small LEDs in 1, super duper bright). these T10 LEDs can be used as pole lights as well as meter lights. These LEDs come in 4 colors:

1. White

2. Blue

3. Red

4. yellow.

For non digital pulsars, the meter lights u also can use these T10 LEDs, but the effect will not be as good as digital pulsars becoz the meter itself is sort of "blocked". but for the fuel gauge, yes, effect is very nice!

For digital pulsars, the meter lights u can use these T10 LEDs. the effect is superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u can trust me on that!
