Oh ya. Heard from my friend regarding the belt. How many km then change? per change how much?

Wah I read all the tech specs you all mention ... I blur liao.

 

I also agree with the start up problem. Initially thought its just small prob which would go away after a while. Then 3 mths liao still the same.

So during my 3000km full service, the mechanics say they tweaked my transmission or something. Easier to start up. Wah really got diff.

 

Easier to start during day time. Harder when early in the morning. But still acceptable.

 

When we buy the bike got the 1000km oil change, 3000km overall check and then the 5000km oil change again. This all free service charge. But if need to change parts of course got charge lah.

Hi guys, jus yesterday i encounter some problem with my Vxr200. When i depress the brake there is a "metal hitting metal" sound coming out. anyone know wad's wrong? Brake are still new.

Was quoted 700+.. Can anyone here verify the cost?

Cyclinder head normally leak from the copper cap at the center of the head. welding can be done to save some $$$. Call me if you need help, cheers.

my bike has the same problem too. past 50 or 60km/h the screeching sound will come. anyone knows what causes it?

 

another thing is that i notice my coolant container is always very hot after i ride. is this normal?

Hi All Bros out there,

 

Recently bought a old Vxr200 05, and also went to change very recently to multivar, new rollers,new delta clutch, now when i riding at around 80-90 i could feel some vibrations but not a constant one, its like a vibration cause by a rotating thing where some parts you can feel the slight vibrations than stop than have than stop hmmmz.. like v..i...b..r..a...te..........smooth................ ..v..i...b...r...a..t..e........smooth..........v...i..b...r.a...t.e.... when throttle more slight it will go slight faster than it will blend in together with the general bike vibration.

 

And also when at 80-90km i close my throttle slightly or maintain abit you could feel more of the vibration, but also the feeling of a rotating vibration, like thuk... thuk.... thuk.... thuk....thuk..... Seems like came from the back.

 

Andbody encounter similar problems? or is it normal due to the delta clutch?

Hmmm I using stock engine parts. Only changed pipe and air filter. I did have the unsmoothness feeling b4. But not confirm whether is because if the parts inside cause the virbation or is because of the carb setting. Mine is because of the carb setting. The virbation cause me unable to ride constantly and can't hold my throttle firmly. Then I went for a resetting of my carb at sunrise, everything is fine then. Probably u can try can some advise from them? They are pretty gd I think:)

Maybe try to go to scooter specialist shop and ask them to diagnose the problem...

 

I went to botak and he said that it is my clutch. Require to be service. He took out everything and clean here and there i dunno what the hack about the internal parts. He serviced the clutch. After servicing the internal parts, the sound is gone...no more screeching sounds....

 

He got mentioned clutch slip. HAHAH i dunno what the heck is clutch slip..That is all i wan to share.

Hi... My X8 encoutered that before... My engine mounting was the one... Workshop replaced the mounting, then no more problem already liao... Try checking it with some workshops...

Alamak this part u try to call him dude...Coz i do full service with him so the servicing of clutch inclusive of the full service. If u wan just pm me for his number, call him and make an enquiry. He can talk chinese and malay if english...hancai!!!

yo bro! not tryin to praise Gilera but it is really a comfortable bike.. u can race, or ride cruisingly like those harley riders... maintainance wise, can b very ex.... but i tell u, u will enjoy riding it... been riding it for almost 3 yrs now... i dont mind spendin for this baby of mine bcos, its smoother & comfortable den any 2b bikes!

My previous Runner 200 requires no more than $120 per normal service - once every 3 - 4 months. 10k service the most $250.

 

Coolant, engine oil, filter, gear oil.

 

I wonder what you mod to spend $200+ on 1 service alone.

was wondering, is it hard to maintain? as in how much will it be total up, to the normal maintanece of a 2b bike.

 

and gilera vxr200 have alot of verions, i dont really know which is good n what are their looks.

and what is the diff between vxr200 n st200?

 

i wanna get it, but alot my frens say its expensive to maintain.

Yup! I would say generally its expensive in its class as a full-servicing will set you back around 200sgd & that if other parts are ok as some mechs are too detail or over-concern & will highlight every small defects or soon to be & that really bothers you or at least me if you don't do the follow ups.

 

Heard the mech @ FS said VXR runs faster than ST.. Don't know how true, myself.

 

And best is, keep it stock!! But just in case ur modding, try to keep the orig parts for future use just in case. :thumb:

hi guys, anyone ever encounter your runner "Engine oil Low" light lit up for afew seconds and then disappear and lits up again? does it meant the engine oil level is getting low? I had it on the road just now despite having refilled my oil 4-5days ago at a workshop. first few days ride felt smooth however it started getting rougher and rougher for no apparent reason. Is there a problem and if there is, what are the solutions? thanks!

Hi need help urgently, any kind souls out there can kindly advise me how to drain the fuel (petrol) out of gilera vxr200? cos i think my bike fuel cover water seems to sip in and i cant start my bike due to few days of rain parking outside.. jus cant seems to locate the fuel hose...
