the honda crf 230f a very capeable and a good starter of dirt bike.

Honda CRF 230F

http://www.bikez.com/bike/index.php?bike=21547

Displacement: 223.00 ccm (13.61 cubic inches)

Engine type: Single cylinder

Stroke: 4

Power: 24 HP

Compression: 9.0:1

Bore x stroke: 65.5 x 66.2 mm (2.6 x 2.6 inches)

hero hond basically uses tech from honda(hero partners with honda) to make bikes in india suitable for indian conditions. if the two bike specks are compared you can easily find out the difference in the power output.

HERO HONDA KARIZMA http://www.bikez.com/bike/index.php?bike=25435

Displacement: 223.00 ccm (13.61 cubic inches)

Engine type: Single cylinder

Stroke: 4

Power: 17.00 HP (12.4 kW)) @ 7000 RPM

Fuel system: Carburettor

Cooling system: Air

Bore x stroke: 65.5 x 66.2 mm (2.6 x 2.6 inches)

Gearbox: 5-speed

how can we make the HH karizma match up to the same power as the crf230f,i dont find any difference in the specks or the compression ratio?

what else could be having an effect.many people have tried porting the karizma only to get a 2bhp gain,,,bt the crf has close to 5bhp more.how is that possible?
