Jimmy give me a better price... perhaps becoz i know him long time back. If you guys are interested, i can ask him for a few sets at a "special" price. Myself will be installing one set soon...once i have settled my work.

 

will want to see the review from Mod first then i'll decide. however, really interested in it as i feel making the bike run cooler will do the machine whole lot of good. :D

I had my rear seize twice before I had the bike towed back to Mah. Although I did not buy the bike from them they fixed it and had it towed back to my house car park. Real nice of them to provide this service, such a surprise since I heard so many bad things.

 

Anyway, you do not need an oil cooler this is a good to have/want to have thing. Unless you have increase your hourse power them the "want" become "better to have".

* 200cc (can have more if needed)

* Long stroke heavy crank

* Big Bore

* Close Gear Ratio

* Race Clutch Springs

* Big Valve Head

* Race Cam

* Carb Manifold

* 28mm Carb

* All other parts to complete the engine of course

Do different brand of engine oil affect the engine?

 

Was using motul 3000 mineral oil, was rather happy with it. Finished running in the bike, so i tried using castrol mineral oil, now i felt the bike seems abit "sleeply".... not as alert as before the oil change.

 

Likely to drain out the oil this weekend and use back motul. IF all as per normal then it's must be the oil.....

 

the answer is YES! different brands of engine oil has different properties, viscosity, operating temperature and rate of degrade. i also just finished running in and i poured in a bottle of good stuff. Rock Oil 15-50w fully syn oil. feeling is soooooooooooo gooooooooood! :thumb:

even if it is mineral oil, different brands have different properties. as such, will have different "behaviours" and affect the engine differently. :D

Btw the yoshi carb & open air pod i mentioned earlier? I might be able to get it for $460 include installation & tuning.

the chinese Lifan engine is good dude...dont be mistaken just bcoz its made in china and its not cheap..:D

few questions i wanna ask abt this engine?

-does it fit into our body frame? (take note of the engine mounting)

correct me if im wrong..if its the honda crf 50 or 90(mini dirtbike) yess tats a powerful engine which can fit into our bike but its a 2 stroker..

-since one whole honda engine so i believe there will be a honda name on the casing dnt look "original" lei

-looking at the parts you mention above ..it can also be done on our stock engine..just need modification..parts u mention above are all essential to make ur engine powerful just go and find one that fit into our engine or mod it to fit our engine lor....This is where you need to talk and ask people who have open up the engine and see whats inside...and i believe none of us or even any mech have done it yet cos the bike is still new here some even still on running in...and whoever open the engine will be surprise to find alot of weird thing inside..hehehehehe...

 

and one more thing.. its not a plug and play thingy..apart from tuning ur engine...your electrical stuff all need to be mod oso...

your inner rotor and starter stuff like that...

 

well like i said before when kidheck mention about getting the engine from 00racing..but isit worth it ??

To me i just take it like a computer...get the specs i want buy the parts and built it and obviously i cant take a G4 mac system and put in my PC but i can make my PC as good as the Mac G4 rite...its the same theory ahhh...

 

well this is just my opinion..cos everyone has their ways to mod an engine..but it wont be as easy as plug and play...:D

So far so good after using Fully syn oil? I was afraid to use full syn coz it might be too slippery for the engine. I had been experiencing "slip" gears.... even with the current castrol mineral oil. When moving of.. 1st gear.. engaged 2nd gear.. open throttle... then suddenly it went back to Neutral...

 

So i stuck onto mineral oil as it's more thicker based than syn oil. But would have to change it often....

 

 

What's the top-speed you guys had "hit" on yr asses... I had just managed to reach 110km/h without squezzing full throttle using 17 F / 40 R spocket.

Our asses is drawing attention in it's stock condition.... after installing all the good stuffs in.. I am getting a bit scared to get to my ass one day with couple of items missing....

 

I think I will get an alarm for my ass soon....... ke.ke...ke..

Locally you have to go back to MAH.... if not then you can order from overseas.. but u must have patience.

 

Bike still new.. besides Mah.. i believe no other shops locally have any parts for this bike. Except using from Wave parts...but for highlights.. it's a different class...

 

Call service 100.. get Mah Tel: no. Call them & ask...

I believe that people will not steal our Asses, coz if they wana sell Bike's part, there are alot of cubs to steal from. LOL.

 

I do feel insecure. Somethings I saw some youngpunks touching my Ass. Felt so 'molested'... LOL!

Sigh. Its gonna take me awhile to type answers to your questions. The whole engine, including wiring harness, ignition system and CDI is provided. Just plug it into the bike and go. In essence, the engine will work even if without the bike, just add petrol and a pipe. Its a pre-tested engine.

 

The guy that did the engine has done quite a bit of MadAsses. Alot of very complicated mods that most ppl won't even dream of. Ha. I saw how crazy they are. They've practically torn the engine inside out. They said it'll fit. And I believe.

 

Of course you can mod yr stock bike to that specs. No prob. But prob is, how much is it gonna take? A stroked heavy crank cost how much? A big bore kit? Big valve head? A gear ratio? CDI? Cam? Valve Springs? Clutch Springs? Carb? etc etc. If you add all these up with labour charges, it'll cost just as much as this whole engine. If not, MORE. Trust me.

 

And the other million-dollar question- How long can you afford to leave your bike at the workshop for R&D? Perhaps also how capable is your mech?

 

What the price of this engine, you'll get a complete, seperate race-tuned engine. You don't f around with a yr stock engine. The power from a race-tuned engine's much better than one that's, lets say, 200cc 4stroke straight from the manufacturer- TA200 stocker. The power's plain slack for the stock TA200.

 

And regarding the PC modding analogy, I mods PCs too. If you do, you should know it too. That not just because you string a list of supposing good parts up, it'll be good. Most times not! You have to spend time asking around, hopefully get some real answers, else you'll have to try, if it doesn't work sell, route. It takes time, effort and money. That's is why Steve Jobs gets big money. Because they R&D for you. They package up what's good, and make it even better. R&D is priceless. You can do it yourself and even surpass them, no qualms. But what its gnna take, is it worth it? Unless your joy lies in building bikes as opposed to riding one, than I'll say its worth ever bit

 

You just take a look at the local cub prix's Spark135. The stocker is gutless. But those bikes they've done for race are REALLY fast! Even clocking faster timings than those fully tuned, big bored 2 strokes with SIX gears!!! Its not a matter of pure cc or gear numbers! It can be done.

 

Its not a CRF50 engine. Neither is it a 2 stoke engine. Ha. I can tell a 2 and 4 stroke apart.

 

Bro, you dunno how things work in China.. Prices of the engine straight from them is dirt cheap. You might not believe it. And the stock Lifan engine is not that great really as many overseas put it.

 

Can't help on the 'not-looking-original' comment. But anyway, have you seen those turbo charged civics running around town? They open their bonnet, I bet you can't tell its not original. For that matter, many bikes, cars etc which had engine transplants. Shh.. Hush Hush.

"Molesting" is still acceptable... I was going towards my bike this morning.. I got a AH PEK sitting on my "ass".. bouncing up & down.. testing my ass suspension!!!!!

 

Yah... if yr engine / bike is stock is ok... but if you have couple of accessories like a $200 handle bar, $400 Carb, $80 handle guards etc..etc... you see whetehr they go strip a cub or strip yr ass....

 

sigh!!.... the kids nowadays.... can't believe what they will do for a buck or 2...... Time to look for a 2 way alarm liao....the ones that says "keep away from my bike"... ke.ek.ek..ek..e.ee
