What's the F/C for yr asses? I managed to clock about 170 km for 4.1 - 4.2 litres of petrol. Currently I am travelling an average speed of 85-95km/h..

Perhaps most of the my travelling is on the highway.. the f/c seems good for me. But it would not last for long.. be changing my carb & mod. to 135 big bore kit soon....

Btw I mixed my fuel with shell 98 & shell Premium 50/50 (2litres each). Seems to get better accerleration...smoother ride.

Hi,

I'm in the US and I've just bought a Sachs MadAss 50cc. I came upon this forum and it seems like a friendly place to learn more about the bike.

I was disappointed to see that the bike is actually made in China, but I will give it a chance to prove itself.

Since the 125cc model isn't available here yet, I bought a Lifan 125cc motor/transmission combo from Hooper Imports (http://www.hooperimports.com/). I've heard that if I want to put the larger engine in, I will have to change some electrical parts, the flywheel, and some other things as well. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Hello,

The Madasses that were brought into singapore are of the 125cc type (120cc engine). I believe that no one here will have experience you are looking for (swapping 50 for a 125). However you may pick up some ideas from the guys here to improve/beautify your ride

Dude are u getting the one with the electric start? yours is the auto or manual gear..anyway the prob i see will be the electrical system...u gt to change everything that will suits to a bigger bore and stroke..and get a bigger carb for the engine ..as i knoe the carb for 50cc is 19 or 20 mm if im nt wrong..then u gt to change the exhaust system too..the stock 50cc is smaller then the 125cc...go and ask hooper since you gt it from them or otherwise check http://www.planetminis.com/ or http://www.madass.ca/

there will be ppl to help u there since most or all of them in fact are riding a 50cc.

have fun meddling with ur engine...:D

I've been planning to ask this question myself too

I managed a whopping 52.9km/L initially. Dunno how the heck I managed to do that. Now with 2-up riding, around 46-49km/L.

Wow!... certainly tat's really low f/c... Dun tik will ever get to clock tat kind of distance. When I was running in my bike.. i managed to clock 220km b4 the bike hit reserve tank. But I was travelling @ 60-65km/h max.... now normal riding resumes... dun tik it will be tat low.

My collegues told me about using "Moth" balls with my petrol. They have been using them with their cars... so far... WRX, MAZDA 3, Honda stream & Toyota VIOS had tried them and had said to be really working.

They pump up their cars with 95 rons petrol then pour a packet of moth balls into the car. It's said that it will help to lower the F/C & the car felt like it's been filled up with "V" power!. BTW a packet of moth balls cost only 1 dollar....

Myself have not tried on my own car.... maybe.. maybe..maybe... I may try it on my ass..ke.ek.ek..ek..e anytik happens... the damage is lesser......

Any comments Guys?

Frankly guys.... I still puzzled with this so called "Moth balls" saga in my office.

Hvn't seen any reports in the net.. maybe you guys had heard it b4?

I am wondering what have moth balls got to do with petrol? What reaction does it causes to improves the ron on the petrol? For all I know inorder for petroleum to increase their rons is to add a chemical called "MTBE"......

I only know that moth balls is used in toilet to get rid of the stinky smell & utilised in cupboards.... but moth ball in petrol????...... This is defintely another myth.....

Well, for that purpose, you need to pour Lynx (known as AXE also) perfume into yr ass.

that's really a good price to pay for the front and rear. but my question is why would you want to change away the original brake hose which is already steel braided?

my comments is that DON'T put moth balls. reason being, moth balls do have chemicals that can clean the engine or carb, BUT it comprises of othe chemicals that should not be in your engine too. i have friends who did that and in the end, his 2 stroke engine seized due to residue stuck in the engine. :giddy:

Sorrie.. i might not be clear enough. For $68 u are only getting the front line only. If gettiing front & rear will cost you $110-$120. I had posted exact price in earlier post.

I am changing the brake line coz I had replaced my stock bar with Pro-taper bar which is much higher thus all cables are really "stretched" to their max. For safety measures, i am replacing the brake hose.. and currenly looking for longer throttle cable as well..

Also.. i am a vain pot which I tik replacing the brake line with Hel yellow brake line will make my bike more "mei Mei"..... ke.ke.ke.

Thanks for yr advise.. I wil skip the idea also. Tik Moth balls are supposed to be where they belong. Toilets & closets... and defintely not in engines.

ok.. ok.. have to admit.. It's really nice with the yellow brake line fitted on. But the brake line is really stretched... defintely needs to be replaced.

What options for rack/box for the Madass?

there are so many options... u can fix givi box for yr back... givi slim size will be just nice for yr ass. Any other boxes will be too big for yr ass.. wouldn't be nice. But you only can squeeze in 1 helmet, 2 helmet is possible... provided 1 of yr helmet is a half cap type. If full face then it will be 1 only. As for me.. i installed side boxes coz i can put my rain coat & rain shoes.. so u can consider to install the side boxes if you need them.

You can go down to L.A.B coz they give pretty good price... or you might consider to go down to 219.. i saw one box with come with "alarm".... too bad i had got myself a box liao....

Thanks blkjack for the info; I was just curious about the rack/mount as the Ass seems different from most bike. Anyway, looks like my ass will be delayed, cos dealer just said coe too high:slapforehead:
