Hey welcome aboard the SBF(spore bikes forum) and the madass thread that these guys run.

I'm no rider as of yet but I'm learning as much as I can. Stick around, browse through as much as you can and I hope you enjoy your tenure.

To start off, I hope you don't mind if I ask whether you're familiar with the various components to be mod-ed!

Through the replies of various members, I've pretty much picked out what main engine components get modded and the various options available. Carb/Sprockets/engine internals and big bore kits.

What I was really interested in is the 200cc Honda engine that LittleLamb made a mention of. If costing isn't ridiculous, I might actually give that a go. DPI (Department of Planning and Infrastructure, from what I gather is similar to LTA in SG) are not as tight arses about swapping out engines so I'm not too worried about compliances.

And also there was a picture that Mod posted of this fully decked out MA125 resprayed in red. Petal disk rotors, upgraded calipers, braded hoses, oil cooler, carb/intake, USD forks, plus a few other bits and pieces. Wonder how much the owner dropped on all those mods.

at the moment my bike is in pieces as i totally strip dwn the engine..and getting right size clamp for my USD fork..once i got my engine sorted out it would look something like this..im trying to figure out what rim is best to go with my fork cos i decided to have a 17 inch rim rather then stock 16inch.im also trying to use an oversize piston but along the way of trial and error i had twice cease my piston or i just cant get the right compression.still trying to get what is best and i realised at one time my bike is so fast but sadly enuff it wnt last for a week...and the powerful ur engine is the more discomfort you will feel due to the heavy vibration.. and as i dnt have a spare exhaust i have yet to modify and play around with the exhaust....i have running out of spare parts actually and i have to make do with whatever i can have it here and modified a lil bit to make it works..and this is where im facing a bit of complications....but on a bright note...i think im heading somewhere...i hope so..hehehee

They may correct me if I'm wrong but the madass isn't highly recommended for carrying pillions for various reasons- The seat's big enough to comfortably fit one rider. If you got a big bum, then that rules out any ferrying.

As a 'fun-ride', your attention would be captured by the experience in riding this machine from place to place; basically clowning around when you can while making heads turn :)

I remember someone on here had installed a Protaper handle bar. I'm looking to get the protaper triple clamp kit as well as a protaper bar but I have no clue what differences there are in the measurements between models (Evo, Contour, SE) and Rider specific styles (Henry/Reed, Windham, Woods, Carmichael, YZ High, Rm Low, SO MANY!!!!). Width, Height and Pullback.. how do those three options affect your riding posture?

The Madass is fine of pillioning. Just sit closer together; maybe could be a little better if they designed the the pillion's foot pegs slightly more towards the rear.

Sitting position for both rider and pillion is quite comfortable; more upright and higher as compared to those sportsbikes that have a lower and more "hugging" feel. Give's one a more "relaxed" feel to riding the bike; don't really feel the need to try to get to the next red light as fast as possible. Handlebars could be a little higher to have a more comfortable position.

No clowning around; it's still a normal bike that can become a dangerous weapon if you want to be dumb and fool around. :p

I saw one you MadAss riders riding toward bukit batok west/cck in the rain on Thursday! Black stock MA and the rider was female (but a little bit masculine though)
