Lights are sufficient, you may want to check the aim.

Aim slightly higher and you will be very visible to cars in front of you, aim slightly lower and you get a good view of the road.

Let me describe the world of wonderful sounds you get from a Blade. These are all the sounds I know.

1. When you're using stock brake pads, you'll get this ice shaving sound, like from an ice kacang machine. This is when the brake pads rub lightly against the disc when moving.

2. You'll get a zzziiingggg sound, like an electrical buzz when using EBC brake pads.

3. You'll get a rrrrrrr sort of grinding sound when the front brakes jutter, this is normal.

4. Ticking sound is when your bike is cooling down.

5. Light to heavy rattling sound. When it's loud, it's like there's a loose ball bearing being slushed around in the engine, when it's light, it's like a water sprinkler spinning and shooting water. Not sure what it is caused by, some say shims, some say tappet, some say CCT (cam chain tensioner), some say injectors. There's nothing to worry about actually.

6. Music! This is what you'll hear when you've got a kick ass after market pipe. Some pipe sings better than others, quite subjective actually. Get one that you like and don't worry what others say, you're the one who's gonna hear it sing.

So i am considered lucky to buy a CBR cos not only it has a smooth engine, but also can play music..... :cheeky:

CCT on the Blade is auto-tensioning. Some sort of clever mechanism, it gets tighten automatically when it gets worn pass a certain level. Unless the CCT is faulty, like when the spring gets rusty, it doesn’t push the rod out to tighten the chain, then you’ll get the CCT rattling noise.

I had all of the above. My fairing was replaced under warranty. Just dun drill any holes for sliders, as they will use that as an excuse not to give you the fairings, even though the pieces are separate. However, to prevent this, ensure the upper cowl is screwed back properly, and there's no buldge on the fairing while inspecting it when you're seated on the bike.
