I'm not sure how many beds the Eastin Deluxe has, if anyone calls, do check and inform.

 

I chose this hotel because it is central, can go to town or Bangsar easily. Easy access to highways, few petrol stations nearby for those who are picky with petrol, near by my place, can easily pick you guys up, nice up down left right roads, can see Mat Rempit race at night, don't have to pass by city and get caught up in jams.

It's difficult to make a booking unless everyone meetup and decides. But that was last Sat.

 

JB, I think you can go ahead and book the Junior suite for yourself, Max and Rommel. If Chilly and LD can come, shouldn't be a prob to crash in.

 

Ronald and Ismail with their mystery partners can have the Deluxe room to themselves. Ronald, pls proceed to book as well.

 

Things to ask for:

 

1. Earliest time to check in on Fri.

2.Latest time to checkout on Sun.

I just called the hotel to check. All rooms above come with breakfast for 2. They do not seem to be aware yet that MotoGP is on, and have not increased the prices yet. There are plenty of rooms still.

 

I suggest you guys go for the Deluxe rooms. The other rooms come with 1 King Size bed only.

Since Tashi is familiar about KL so I will be going for Tashi's recommendation. My friend's leave was rejected so my friend is not able to come (no partner then) so either lastdance or chilly can bunk with me if they are able to come. I will book one room then if confirmed that the whole group want to stay at Eastin Hotel. What about the motogp tickets, do we need to book now?

In a challenge set up by Red Bull at Silverstone between its BSB Honda CBR1000RR, F1 Ferrari and Red Bull Air Race Extra 300S Jonathan Rea could not hang in with David Coulthards super powerful Ferrari F1 car and the Red Bull Air Race Extra 300S piloted by Steve Jones.

 

Pilot Jones won the race with a time of 1.04 minutes, Coulthard was second with a time of 1.31 minutes and Red Bull Honda Superbike rider Jonathan Rea coming in third with a time of 1.57 minutes.

Jonathan Rea: “That was great fun, if a little scary at times. I was doing well keeping in front of David, but down the straight his superior acceleration pulled him past just before braking into the corner. I have to say I’m looking forward to racing just with bikes again and not having to overtake vehicles two metres in width. Good luck to Steve at Longleat, fingers crossed he can win on home turf.”

 

David Coulthard: “I wasn’t surprised with the result to be honest, given that we know planes can fly faster than cars. I was very interested to see how the bike handles the corners from such close range especially as at times we were only a couple of metres apart. I was also surprised at how well the plane handled some of the tight turns. It was a great challenge but no one likes coming in second place. I’d like to see a replay of the race to see just how tight to the corners Steve flew!”

Pilot Steve Jones: “I didn’t expect to win it and was worried initially about the tight corners, especially when pulling about 10 G’s around Stowe corner. It was amazing to see the bike and car down below on the track, and to hear the F1 car when it accelerated. Races like today are why I love being involved with the Red Bull Air Race World Series and I cant wait until the next unusual challenge.”

 

R&R comment: This was bleeding unfair on behalf of the bike as the Blade is a superbike based on a standard motorcycle. Get a Honda RCV for the next challenge Red Bull! Silverstone is virtually designed for Formula 1 cars and not bikes so no surprises Coulthard beat Rea with as much as he did. The Red Bull Air Race aeroplanes are amazing to watch and agile like nothing else, highly recommended.

LD can share with Rommel. JB can share with Ronald. When Chilly confirms later, he can bunk in at either rooms. When Max's gf decides not to go, Max can bunk in at either room or book another with Chilly.

 

Either JB or Ronald should book a room now.

 

Meeting on Fri 6am @ Esso, leave at 6:15am. Late comers can join up at Pagoh Shell.

 

We cruise slowly at 230kph. When visibility improves with light, we travel at terminal velocity.

Today started my bike & cranking seems 2 b weak.Checked the voltage of the batt & still very good.Suspect that coil got fried.Will check to confirm 2morrow as going to bike shop to change eo.
