OK, I admit, I was gonna switch to Suzuki next year. But with all the stuffs you guys were saying, and the news reports and experiences of some owners, I decide it's not worth the risk.

 

I go 2 up most of the time, and when I travel, it's 2 up with baggage. Just thinking about touring on a GSX-R1000, my next thought flows to frames cracking under weight.

 

Riding is about enjoyment, the anxiety is not worth it.

Cosmos, I'm curious, what was your tyre pressure set to? Was it under pressure, hence heating up too much, and flinging "black chilly" everywhere?

After slapping on 1 and getting my bike tuned by MT to sap all the power out, the mileage I'm getting is really appalling. I don't need so much power man, so can I tune it to have more mileage without compromising too much power?

Chye changed his 2CT for S$510 at Speedway.

I used to get only 190km b4 my reserve light came out. Now with the PCIII, I get abt 210km b4 my reserve light comes out. Can't help, my bike carrying over myself. Over 100kg everytime so it is laboring

 

To LD, Yes, I did tune my bike, more initial power but I don't really know exactly what the mapping was.

 

Why the different prices for the tyres??? Huge difference btw what Ah Chye is paying. Is it because of the machine balancing service tt is causing the huge gulf in prices? I got my pilot road for SGD370 abt 3 mths ago and that time was quoted SGD410 for pilot power without machine balancing.

 

No ticket for me also.

Been using BT's for years changed like 5 pairs already since my Super Four days

Never regretted liked the compound and make

 

LD- A word of advice if you going to MT

Better stay there and make sure he does the job

MT sometimes did not do a proper job or did not change some things as you

have paid for.

No intention to accuse just a word of caution.

 

As for my case I think MT did not change the Maxima Ultra neither the spark plugs I instructed him to do so

Though he did change the air filter, oil filter and tune the bike (obvious reasons)

I checked the EO level and to my suprise it was well below the level

How can people like MT do such stupid mistake?

When I was inspecting my bike he was already loking at me suspiciously

Told him the problem he quickly took 1 bottle of UNOPENED Maxima ultra

I followed him in the workshop where he had did his dynorun and guess what!

There are 3 more bottles there unopened

I was so pissed and left without saying a word

No wonder when I requested for my old plugs back he said he had threw them away

Very seldom mechanics like him would throw the plugs away without your consent

They would keep it and give it to you if just in case you would want to look at it

He normally would keep it for you even though you did not ask him

I used to sent my old blade there when Loois Motor was in Yishun

This the first time I had such problem with MT

Should have listened to Tashi he did warn me about such things

Cant beleive he did it to a long time customer like me

 

 

Sorry for those who had trust in MT or those who hailed him

I used to hail him cos he always did a good job to my bike

And also my friends now everything has changed

This is the naked truth I faced recentlly

I guess I should share with the biking community here

If you still want to do anything with your bike there

Better stay and watch no matter how long it takes

 

As for me I will still sent the bike there for tuning and dynorun only

The rest will be done at Mah Pte Ltd

It seems that I trust Jeffrey more than MT after what had happened

Yo Eldo! Haven't seen you post in a long time, hope you and your blade are fine.

 

Will take your advise, I would guess MT had a hectic schedule and "overlooked" the changing of spark plugs and engine oil. You don't want to change the plugs if you were a mech. I've seen it and it took them 5hrs...

 

I always stay with ma bike no matter how long it takes. I don't care if I waste the whole day cos I don't really trust pp in the bike business even if they are a reputable company.

 

Btw, Looi's carry Maxima now?

 

PS. At work currently and the time is crawling, that's why can constantly reply the posts here
