U can check with bbdc for license conversion. for documents, u need to call them to check also.

Invert? Just turn it 180 degrees.

You can read all about it on this Singapore Police Force's page.

Please read it very carefully and convert at the first opportunity you can. The SPF is very strict about conversion. I was unable to convert to the class 3 license in 2006 -- because I had an EP when I got my foreign driving license -- and had to sit for the TP practical test. That means a long waiting time.

Similarly, my brother was unable to convert because he lost his old passport that could prove that he wasn't in Singapore when he got his foreign license. No, the immigration department (SIR) will not provide the entry/exit records for you.

I guess the right word is convert... haha...

Here's how : http://driving-in-singapore.spf.gov.sg/services/Driving_in_Singapore/Information/drivinglicence/conversion.htm

Take note of the following :

- they have stayed in the foreign country continuously for at least six months after the date of first issue of their foreign driving licence

- the foreign driving licence at the time of application for conversion must have been issued for a period of six months or more

It's basically saying you must have the license for at least 6 mths, and have lived in Indonesia continously for at least 6 mths with the valid license.

You will need to get the official letter from Indonesian Traffic Police (from Indonesia, of course). Try to get the letter in English instead of Indonesian, otherwise get it translated and legalized. You will also need a legalized English translation of your SIM A and SIM C. All translations and legalizations can be done in Indonesian Embassy in Singapore.

Overall process was easy, the only tedious part was to get the official letter from Indonesia Traffic Police cos you can only get it back home...

Hope this helps =)

Oh yes, nhyone is right.

It's very tedious if you're not a PR in Sg. You also need the passport that u used when u first came to Sg for long term stay. They check the date stamp on the passport versus the date you got your SIM for the 6mths rule validity.

I'm a PR and I had my old passports, so everything was smooth.

You will get 2B for SIM C, not 2A.

5 mths means less than 6 mths, what suggestion r u trying to get? Like I said, your chance is slim. But no harm trying. Have u tried to make enquiries to SPF? Perhaps you can find out the truth from them, instead from us in this forum =)
