My socket melted probably due to the high heat range of the bulb I use.

Does anyone have this experience before?

I went to authorised spare part shop. They only sell this with the wire harness which will cost alot. Anyone knows where can I buy just the socket alone?

This kind of melting usually the result of poor or loose fitting - notice only the left side melted & not the whole H4 connector. The melting is only on the slot that the loose connection - resulting in electrical sparking, thus melting that particular slot. Most of the time, this can be prevented by lightly greasing the connections when u change your bulb & always make sure all the connections fit tightly.

Pls note - that some OE H4 connectors have a locking device - so to remove the H4 bulb - u need to depress a lock b4 the bulb can be removed. If that little pin is not press on the bulb will not be released from the holder & if u force the bulb pin will break. cheers
