The 'hand' that tells you the speed seems to sway back & forth when it goes beyond 70km/h.

Mech says cable's fine but the readin seems to irritate me like a windscreen wiper.

Anyone ever had this problem too?

what bike u ridding? sometime the problem lies on the meter itself.. not necessary the cable.

most speedo meter works on the principle of a rotating magnet...creating a magnetic field..

a fast rotation= stronger magnetic field...

so if your speedo act like a wiper...only indicates magnetic fields strength are changing fast ...

i suggest u check all the connection of your speedo cable/gears ..make sure that they are properly fitted/tighten..if this does not solve the problem...may be the problem lies with the speedo

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

Hi I'm new here.

Both odometer and speedometer uses a single cable, so if your odometer works fine then I think there is no problem with the cable or any gear assembly connected to your front wheel. correct me if I'm wrong
