you mean the iron 883? Errr this bolt cost more and has better suspension , ABS, electronic and engine. No thanks. i tried the 883 and other HD and they are not suitable for daily commute. Weekend ride still okay :)

The heavy clutch makes it tough at low speed handling

Imo there is no comparisons between Bolt & Sportster in term of comfort, technology, electronics & handling...just my 2 cents

Hi tomdick12! I have been riding a r spec for 6 months... I cant really make comparison with other models as every bike has its pros n cons... individual preference.... for me, no regrets buyjng the r spec!

i saw a bolt the other day at regina, it has the 60th anniversary colour, damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, that is a good looking bike, will definitely consider buying if that rider ever put up for sale

Can I ask is this bike heavy on maintenance? is the spare parts ready available?

Hi, I have the 2017 bolt.

 

Regular servicing is 3.7 litre EO every 5000km, I use Mobil 1 20W-50 V-Twin full syn ($30 each bottle)

Recommended valve adjustment is every 20000km

Spark plug is about $23

Belt driven, so no oiling needed

 

For more technical spare parts like the belt and electrical parts, best is go to hong leong, most shops won't have them.

Btw do u know where can i buy parts for Bolt? like crash bars, saddle bag frames etc.. or any online stores u go to?
