needs help with accident...

my friend was involved in an accident. he was ridding a motorcycle depicted in the picture as a green block.

 

the red block is the car that banged into my friend.

 

blue blocks are cars waiting to move.

 

driver admitted was his fault. when my friend contacted the driver's insurance agency to claim. they said they will not compensate 100% as the road is a single lane carriageway.

 

the argument is that although its a single lane carriageway, 2 cars could fit side by side. so there was definatly space to fit a bike.

 

 

the repair costs for my friend's bike will be estimated as 3-4k.

 

 

 

 

so the question is how can my friend claim the money. driver already agreed it was his fault.

do u got any picture of both accident picture?

do u relocate the bike?

make any police report?

any of the vehicle detail? (like particuler of the driver)

did your frz stop inside the yellow box?( any yellowbox there)

which part of yr frz vehicle being hit? is it a bike or car

Just my view from the draft, if this case happen on me, i will straight away get a police to take down the statement. Get the driver detail n try not to make any private settlement. (if only minor thing happen, i will try to P S) after that i will go to idac for photo taking n make a report there(if yr insurance is NTUC, Other i dunno need a not) Go to work shop to get your vehicle check how much is the repair cost. Get the work shop staff to check do they have any lawyer to provide the claim. take all yr report to give the laywer to see so what the laywer say.. After that is WAIT WAIT WAIT

i dont have the accident photo, but i can get a photo of the accident area.

 

bike was moved to the side after the accident occured

 

no police report was made. but my friend towed bike to idac. to do the accident report .etc

 

my friend was hit on the left side.

 

the driver was driving a civic, and my friend was ridding a st13. the driver felt very sorry and admitted it was his fault.

 

there was no yellow box.

What does your friend's own insurer have to advise him on making the claim against the other party?

Bro,

If no injury or MC, make police report also no use. TP won't investigate. They will advise you to lodge a GIA report.

Best to bring it to the bike company for repairs and claims. Bring along the IDAC report, insurance cert, etc. The bike company will engage a lawyer for you and proceed with the claims for damage, personal injuries, loss of use, etc. But frankly speaking, it is near impossible to get a 100% claim. Even with an independent eyewitness, the best you're looking at is a 90% claim.
