is it really loose? ask yourself when you feel and shake it, dont let these shop chop you.

3yrs back i was trying to solve a engine stall prob on my bike, the shop started to check the carb and slowly proceed to do full servicing on bike then he said the the conrod is loose and adviced that i change it, I tried shaking it its loose-ness was very slight like nothing. But I had no money, so he put back everything, jack up the idling so the bike wont stall. And nothing is fixed, I wasted RM220. zzzzz

The very next day I went to another shop who tried to troubleshoot and opened up my engine to check and then the mechanic says there's nothing wrong with the engine. In the end my problem was solved for just SGD8, the spark plug cable spoil.

Try to ask someone you know or a trusted shop for opinions. If the rod is loose, probably the bearing is loose.

Good luck

hmm, if loose what are the signs? thanks anyways.

if too loose, the engine will hav cease..

if a little loose, the engine will be noiser. but cannot determine thru the sound..

the best way is take the block out and inspect it..

if conrod loose, normally is due to the wear bearings..

a rod that connect ur engine and piston..

A rod that transmits motion or power from one moving part to another, especially the rod connecting the crankshaft of ur bike to a piston..

usually when replace conrod, the bearings are replaced as well... when the rod is loose there will be a "extra" loud spinning sound coming from the engine. It is consider as a major repair because the whole engine have to be dismantled. :bounce:
