Hi all, I'm Benson here.

Just got myself a used st200 as a transport bike. There's few things which I'm unsure of n hope u guys can help me ans my quieries.

1- the bike aft ridin when I switch off the ignition, the code light jus flashes unless

I on the ignition or start the engine (can't rmb tho...). Shop said it's normal like honda's HISS. is it?

 

2- fuel cap out, the hole for fuel got a spring lid which block the hole. So I pumped n pumped till overflowed. I shake the bike abit, it went down abit. But the fuel level still above the lid but below the cap opening. So I capped back n found fuel leaking under the bike. Is this normal? Previously had atlantic200 n it also leak when I over pumped or use side stand wid full to brim tank.

 

3- it came wid some aft mkt mirrors which I can't see anything. Any recommendations or any1 got stock mirrors takin up storerm space for sale?

 

4- wads the recommended COLD tyre pressure for this bike?

Got it on tues, rode hm, parked overnite till wed noon. Went to carpark, turn ignition on, crank n crank, wun start, den petrol starts spraying on my slippers at the bottom of the bike... Omg

To make it worst, iu not wrkin. Tho iu is not related to st200, but hard to believe a fbd plate lidat.

Waitin for tow truck, I looked ard den realised the bike got low slide b4 on the right. Kena right shoulder pad, exhaust heat shield n bottom right. Another sianz 1/2

Will it be better to mod after run in or ok to change it straight? Thanks alot many years never ride bike already, totally noob now.

I will be collecting my new ST 200 tomorrow too , best if u can wait till after 10'000 km before some engine mod as the warranty cover till 10k km , But the first thing I going to change will be the stock visor , stock mirrors and to relocate the IU unit .. Hi guys, I've jus got my st200 for 5 days n it's towed twice n stayed at bike shop

3 days.

 

1- I've pumped petrol 2 times n both times aft pumped, I went in cashier pay money, when I return to the bike, always got puddle of petrol leak to the bottom of the bike. I pumped abit full the 1st n 2nd time I didn't pumps full. Wads wrong? I really damn heartpain to see my caltex platinum on the floor. jus ignored n rode off n it dun leak oredi. Pretty sure I nv over pump. It didnt even exceed the spring back lid below the petrol filler cap...

 

2- bent down n see the header area at the head got slight oil leak... Head gasket shot?

 

Any1 got any idea? I think I've bought a lemon...

Damn sianz. Ultra regret of gettin this bike...

can try scoot veloci at amk industrial park 1. is along amk ave 10. shldnt be an issue to find the stuff and the service u need there.

For guys considering gettin the st200. Let me share my story

I've got a fbd st wid 31+k mileage. Bike is fully stock to the max. Jus like direct from agent. Have scratches on 1 side which look like a drop from releasing from main stand n topple.

Cut short. Engine sounds gd, bike is stock. Other den the scratches, looks very new. 3 yr old wid low mileage. Got it for 6 days, towed 2 times. Wrkin for 2 days only n now at carpark waitin to be tow tmr morning.

The problems it gives me n waitin to be solve.

1- can't start, 4th time

2- aft refueling, even not full tank, it leaks petrol as n when it like

3- when can't start, when turn key to on w/o starting, bottom spraying petrol (note dat aft 1st tow, shop changed the fuel pipe oredi)

4- head gasket leaking oil

5- ytd found coolant drippin below the bike

6- left lever/rear brake switch faulty, brakelight perm on.

7- rear brake not wrkin properly, press n press no brake, press more brake

Jam.

8- unstable idling, happy 3k, not happy 1.5k

9- on n off funny sound from transmission

 

Not really tryin to condem this bike, but can't believe a 3 yr old low mileage bike so bad condition. Do a search n u'll even hear pple sayin e oil leak into radiator for a brand new 3 day old st200. Seriously it's worst den a make in china bike.

bro, i believe that u met into a bad luck. i used to ride a gilera for 2yrs plus and nth major happened like what u described.

perhaps u can get ur bike to a reliable mech (i reccomend AC motor) and get it inspect one and for all on both mechanical & electrical on ur bike not forgeting ur fuel and coolant tubing.

leakage of top head might be due to over stressing of engine. u nv know how hard or rough the previous owner had ride on it or he had replaced a 2nd hand head on the bike.

Thanks for all the advices bros, bike is at the shop I bought it from for all the repairs. Estimated for collection on Thur. Let's see how it goes. If the prob still persists, den no choice hav to change to somethig more reliable, most probably a cubkia cos bike is basically meant for transport only. Cheers n ride safely every1!

Hi mark, thanks for offerin to help. But rite now I can only wait for the shop to call me when repair is completed. If it can't start agn aft collecting. Most prob gonna change to some maxi scoot den.
