ST200 Runner owner - 2009 / 2010

Hi all..

 

I have just bought an ST200 for a month now and have been monitoring my FC for a bit.. usually I ride my bike till the fuel warning light comes up (3 bars on the fuel gauge) and it's only been abt 180-190 km.. I have tried to ride till my reserve is almost finished (no bars on the fuel gauge) and it's abt 215 km..

 

is this normal or shld i go get my bike checked?

Just bought a ST200, less than 300 km. There is a strange sound given off from the engine when moving off at a complete stop. Besides the sound of the gears in the engine trying to engage itself, there is this strange sound (like open pod) for a few second. Is this normal?

Appreciate advice from the pros.

does your bike make the same sound when you are slowing down to a stop? cos i think my bike has the same prob as well.. do update when u've found out anything abt it,k? thanks~!

Hi, morning fellas!

I just bought a new ST200, collecting this weekend.

 

Can anyone tell me what's the recommended run-in/break-in schedule?...or is it necessary at all?

 

I'm asking because I want to minimize any repercussions in the future. Eg. I used to ride a CBR1000RR. Because I did not break in the bike properly resulting in engine oil always get burnt and have to top up constantly...which is very costly and irritating.

I have checked with Mark from Agent ADH. He confirmed that this is a clutch slipped. He has confirmed that this will not harm the engine and can be fixed. I was told to go back to fix it when I hit 900- 1000km. Currently, I am hitting 400km.

Do call Mark from ADH if u have further concern or queries.
