guys, i need your advice on wat to do. i am the subrider of my bike, and my insurance n rd tax has expired. i can't renew it bcos the first rider has a warrant of arrest against him for unpaid overdue fines. now wat shud i do? tried in vain to contact him. he has to appear in court in september. after dat den i can renew. now bike in carpark, wasting my parking coupons. any place to park dat is free till i can renew n ride my bike?

1. What does warrant of arrest have anything to do with renewing the road tax and insurance?

 

2. Free to park? Your insurance and road tax is expired, you better be towing it instead of riding it to a free carpark place.

warrant of arrest for fines from hdb n lta. went to lta they say my bike no. is tagged. sumting like kena blacklisted. must settle then can remove tag, den cn renew. haizz.

Tow the bike back to the owner and leave it there.

 

get another bike, and make sure this one belongs to you.

 

Your other option was to help the owner pay off the fines.

Its not your bike. You arent the owner.

 

If the installments was not completed, the bikeshop will come tow that bike anyway and sell off themselves. And what if you are the garantor? more trouble.

 

We all spent a lot on bikes. Not just you. But this is not your bike to spend considering you cannot afford to.

ya i'm not but he sold it to me. he's my friend niwae, bt so long nvr contact him liao.. nw hard to contact him to resolve these issues.

actually, if your "friend" doesn't respond, and you can't do anything else but to leave the bike where it is, it is still your friend's responsibility to pay the parking fines, isn't it? why is it your problem?

if ur fren agreed to sell it to u, then y din he transfer ownership to u in the 1st place? it's onli $40 for transfer

 

You shouldnt have spent so much on the bike since ur the sub rider, becoZ if something happens to owner, bike goes along with him

This sounds like a classic case of a COI gone really bad.

To the threadstarter, if you can't find the owner, it seems like he never was a close friend of yours anyway.
