u how big fz.i? u sp right? 1 day we meet ah..can talk2... if u really big uh,i suggest dun take sotong..scared bocor... summore ur gf tompang u right.. but if really want sotong can... but dun sell ur sport rim 1st..haha! scared anything happen..yalah who noe u hard jaga sotong tyre..hehe but really syok ah..very light

 

haha, than ur rim and tyre for sotong one is what size??? feel like trying.. haha.. but really can corner mei?? like very scary lei..hahaha..

uma; im tempted not to use sports rims anymore. just wanna try whats the feel of using sotong tyres. but im quite big size lah. if bicycle cannot tahan my weight, bike can ah? :lol:

 

rookie; i dont get ur running in procedure. u can finish running in within one day? and how do u determine half throttle?

 

cut a length of masking tape and stick on the throttle housing.

 

do a marking at zero throttle, twist throttle to full and mark again

the centre is half throttle loh

 

but u need to mark a reference point on the throttle itself.

 

hope this is clear enuff. :thumb:

yup i from SP. im about 178, and i think 85-90kg! :lol: my sports rim spoil already ah bro. the speedometer thingy at the rims chipped off already that caused the speedo not to work. plus my rear rim bearing housing abit loose but still workable. might as well change to new rims right.:lol: thinking of sports rim or sotong only..

for running in

 

this is my method, do it at ya own risk

 

i do it with premix, thus more safe

 

mix abit more for running in period

 

warm up engine, do a ride up till half throttle

vary the rpm alot, down shift/up shift thru the gears

dun baby the bike, and whack till half throttle

do it for 15mins and stop

 

cool down engine

 

repeat the above, now rev till 3/4 throttle

 

cool down engine

 

last cycle, whack full throttle, but dun hold for too long

keep shifting up and down

 

cool down

 

now change new gear oil

 

the run in process is done.

his method is called hard break-in.

there's one shop around helping people hard break-in on a dyno machine at a fee of $50, which i feel is much safer and effective, since you have to do this for quite a distance, for example on a expressway and you might not do it correctly.

from sp as well! ahaha..

 

used to use sotong tyres then one day it, bocor and my bike was in sch. so had to ride slowly to bkt btk wrkshp.. :cry:

 

nw sprt rims alr..safer i guess. ha3

Zeds night ride outs.

 

Date: 24th Oct 2008, Friday night.

Time: TBA, but tentatively meet up at 10pm.

Venue: at changi beach or kallang stadium mac.

Purpose: convoy riding from changi beach or kallang mac to west side followed by eating before or after the main purpose plus tcss

ya lah..he still student..taking N A level tiz yr.. he like childish 1..still play piyo2 bike..haha! so lesson of the day is dun look dwn on ppl..they play bike and yaya mod like wanabe motorcycle,but my fren they all racer for spore..good huh..hvnt get licen can be a racer,i get license,not a racer..hahah! which shop huh..cannot tell..but angel racing ah
