if i convert my SP to road version bike will it be legalised?? road conversion as in raised handle bar no fairing and single round type head light

This is the first time i'm hearing that someone wanted to convert a SP into a naked bike... There's a saying that anything that is not stock is not legal.

I have seen sp and kr without their fairings, but I guess they might have sent them for respray or they are spoilt. Because the headlight is still the same.

 

I guess not putting the fairing is still ok, alot of people are changing handle bars to aftermarket ones to change the height of the bars, so they might be ok.

 

Headlight if not stock type, will fail.

 

Best is call LTA to check.

Dude,

Technically, it's still an offence as the bike is no longer under the manufacturer's specifications. However, it is still "permissible" as long as the changes do not involve "illegal modifications".

 

Kaw tim way is to inform LTA of the changes and seek their approval.
